I’ve been to more than a handful of breweries and this had to be the most disappointing one. The beer was mediocre and the staff were very un inviting. I was with a group of 4. We walked in at 7:30ish and we’re immediately stared at by the handful of people sitting at the bar including the employees. Nobody welcomed us or greeted us. It felt like I walked into a small town hole in the wall bar. We sat down at a table that had a “menu” thinking someone would come take our order. We sat there for 10ish mins. Nobody greeted us. Finally one of the guys we were with went up to the bar and ordered for us. I actually wanted to leave. It wasn’t like there were a ton of people and they were too busy. The employees were just standing there looking at us. If you wanted us to go to the bar you should have said something after a couple mins of us sitting there. The place has potential. I’ve never been to a brewery that wasn’t excited about their product. We drank our drinks and left. Next time you have people patronize your establishment I would recommend welcoming them and not glare. You never know who’s going to be writing a review. 100% of the time I’ll buy growlers, 6 packs or whatever you got for sale to take with me. Very...

I have purchased countless six packs from different stores across Northern IL and something is just off about their beer almost every time. I say almost because this doesn't happen with their seasonal beers. And I am a huge fan of their seasonal beers! But their regular brews are just not consistent.
Luckily I live close enough to get it fresh from the source, but today was my last time buying it from anywhere else.
I grabbed a six-pack of pretzel city amber and brought it home only to pour that first beer right down the drain. It tasted so strongly of coriander, which I didn't think was very strong in the countless other times...
Read moreFinally was able to make it out here to Generations as I am doing a job now just 10 minutes away near Pecatonica. I brought a growler to fill and the bartender was awesome and let me sample a few beers so I could decide which..... which was a hard choice with so many great brews. Ended up with a 6 pack of No Promises which has an incredible smooth flavor but my top pick for the growler was the POG Pils- an insanely flavorful fruit pilsner. The brewery itself is very nice. Glad this job should last all summer long cause I will definitely be back for...
