Update: I was sick for 24 hours after they served me rotten seafood. 🤮 Right now Iam hoping I don't end up getting sick from this place. We checked out their menu before arriving since we were coming in at 9pm and they closed at 10. We asked for crawfish queso and gator kickers as soon as we sat down. Keke out waitress was awesome threw our entire experience. The appetizer came out promptly and we liked the gator kickers, they were fried perfectly had good flavor and they have the good ranch here 😉. The queso was Luke warm and the bowl was super hot so definitely microwaved, it was lacking flavor and wasn't anything special. The chips were dry gritty no salt they definitely didn't help the quesos lack of flavor. I was excited to try their cajun plate, fried catfish on top a crawfish corn bread smothered in crawfish etouffee with collard greens and corn. That was until it arrived. Just looking at it the cat fish was very lightly battered and very lightly fried , not crisp at all. The etouffee was very watery and the extremely thin peice of corn bread was nearly non existent. The greens were dry and they sent dirty rice instead of corn (I don't eat rice) but hubby said the dirty rice was decent. He also said the greens were canned glory greens. The greens were to vinegary for my taste, it over powered all other flavors. That's not the worst part though. The crawfish were shriveled, dry looking and gray/green in appearance. I should have known better but I didn't look at it that closely at first. So I cut into it and took a bite, it had a strong fishy taste and a spoiled flavor was evident over any seasoning. I checked it out better, showed it to my husband and took my plate to Keke who immediately took it to the back and removed the order from our ticket. Keke then helped me choose a different dinner and per her suggestion, plus it was nearing close I wanted it to be easy for the kitchen, I ordered a bacon cheese burger and onion rings. My husband had gotten the fried fish, shrimp and oyster basket. His fish was also very lightly fried and laking that crisp fried fish texture. The shrimp had nearly no breading. You can see all of this in the pictures. However the fried basket all had good flavor and their tarter sauce and coleslaw were really good. The ketchup on our table was very dirty so we got one off another table but it tasted terrible. So no ketchup for the fries. My burger came and it was really good, fresh vegetables, cheese was nicely melted, plenty of bacon and the beef was a good quality, had good natural flavor and was cooked perfectly. Bun was toasted nicely as well. The onion rings did not look like the crisp flaky onions rings others had posted but just the regular frozen store bought kind. However they were not terrible kinda greasy but not unedible. No manager ever came to check on us , even after returning unedible rotten food. All and all it was quite disappointing and Iam hoping the 1 bite and tiny taste of the rotten crawfish doesn't make me sick. 🤞However my stomach is already feeling a bit ucky. 🤢 I first thought it was because it was late and they were rushing , but that's not an excuse to possibly poison customers.

I was craving oysters after a day at the beach. A couple of locals mentioned this place. I asked for a dozen....they had none. I should have left but, was too tired. I chose 1/2 lb of boiled peel & eat shrimp and another recommended dish of crawfish cornbread. I was offered mild, medium or spicy. I chose mild, good flavor and small amount of heat. Large shrimp and not overcooked. Issue was how much juice on the shrimp in my to go container...it spilled and was a total mess in the bag. It was also not a full small Styrofoam container. The cornbread was 3 three inch round pieces of a weird concoction. It was decent flavor but, the greasiness made it unpalatable. Ate 1 and threw the rest out. No one else in there eating on a Monday eve. A few locals having drinks. Server was great. On the marsh with great sunset view. Open doors on 3 sides, nice and breezy.

Pier 30 is everything I could ask for in a dive bar on a vacation. It was so good we actually ate their twice on a week's trip. It is very much a dive bar, where the regulars and locals go for coffee in the morning and a beer at night. The shrimp po boy was amazing and the 2 pound crawfish boil was "epic" in a real sense, not an overused internet buzzword. Surprisingly the food was much, much better than expected. Get the Cajun Butter on the side with the crawfish boil The service was great, and the owner will be in every night chomping on a cigar making sure customers are happy. Pier 30 was an amazing experience, and a must for a visit to the other side of the toll bridge..

went here for dinner to try it out! we sat at our table & waited about 10-15 minutes to order our drinks & then our server came to the table & said what would y’all like to order when we never even got the menu. so once we got the menu we got our drinks. As I ordered a Coke with Grenadine i got 2 refills & never had the grenadine added to my drink both times. When we got our food i ordered the fried catfish & well to say the least it was not worth the $15 like we were charged. The catfish didn’t even taste like catfish & it tasted very bland with zero flavor. We also ordered a “Specialty Drink” which is the Pink Drink. Well as it saying a “Specialty Drink” there is nothing Special about just lemonade & grenadine. As a Specialty drink you would expect alcoholic to be in it since it is considered a “Specialty Drink” had to get a shot of vodka just to make it taste better..... once we received the bill we got charged for 2 Coke with Grenadines then had asked the server to remove one of them because we only had one Coke. Then she says “Well not to be rude but you did get a sprite & a Coke” the point was that we ordered one sprite, one coke & then a water. So we received the bill back & the extra Coke was removed & the girl said she had to call the manager for the manager code to be able to remove it. So after we paid we sat at the table & were talking & the server says very rudely “Are yall done with yalls drinks” mind you we were all talking & drinking our drinks in the process & said “sure we’re done” & we left. The service was terrible & the attitude needs to be fixed. Never coming back again especially with the price for the food & everything else...

Man. I really need to get this off my chest. First I wanted to point out the server was a sweet heart, and although I had to personally go to the bar & pick up every beer I bought from their serving mat, she was not the issue that pushed me over the edge.

The real issue is owner/GM/manager of the establishment who sat in the corner smoking a cigar editing menus instead of helping the weeded servers. The guests suffered throughout the entire experience & nobody seemed to care about time targets, protocol, or had any sense of professionalism. I personally have been involved in the restaurant industry all my life and I hate to leave a bad review on a business, but it was in the top 3 worst experiences I’ve ever had. I didn’t complain about the server because it’s the responsibility of the managers to properly train and/or assist on the floor when time targets have been passed.

It took everything in my heart not to say something to the man in the corner. Whoever you are, do better.

Summary :

Drinks weren’t delivered & a guest retrieved their alcohol from the bar mat.

The owner/manager of the establishment sat idle while multiple guests had to suffer.

The order was incomplete, and was inevitably cancelled.

If you’re reading this, and you’d like to roll the dice on who’s in the kitchen & who’s the manager for that day, best of luck.

Run run away and run fast.

Ps - The lady who had the almost unbuttoned shirt, bit unprofessional but not surprising considering the...
