Best breakfast in town! Everything came out so fast.We came to eat breakfast but this time I had to get the Rueben. It’s so stacked I could only finish half. All the sauces taste hand made fresh. Everything on the menu is wonderful and the pink salad dressing is heaven. This is the place to go sit or have a quick take out. … More

I checked out the reviews, and they were spot on. No wait to be seated in this open dining setting. My Cod entree included soup, salad, and potato—excellent, light and delicious breading. The server was correct about it being the best cod … More

Way down the Dixie Highway say Frenchtown could be Monroe who cares well worth the drive. A beautiful new dining spot open just 10 months packing them in . Very popular on social media sites, Facebook, Yelp, Google and TripAdvisor advisor has hundreds of fabulous reviews. A foodie friend tipped me to this place, dude never be wrong. Thanks Kana the most awesome waitress fast friendly service we enjoyed. We had a delicious Brunch start with a mega Chef's Salad with the really great Ranch Dressing, a Double Damn Cheeseburger WOWED can taste the fresh Beef a Full Pound Burger patties shape in a oval, how cool like the Marcus Burger in Detroit. Daughter had house made from scratch Dumplings so Chicken n Dumplings she devour I got one bite spot on . They famous for the Skillet Breakfast Oh Hello yes a real Cast Iron Skillet filled with Taters, Onions, Peppers, Gyro Meat topped with 3 Eggs and covered with Feta Cheese be outstanding balance of deliciousness, yes I like the skillet clean. Very affordable n large portion, food flies outta the kitchen. I talked with owner end of meal he enjoyed me photos. Everything here is homemade,” Mehmeti said. “The soups, all the gravies, all the homemade chili Located at 2770 N. Dixie Hwy., Sal’s Place officially opened its doors on New Year’s Day. The family restaurant is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays. We came back to Monroe for a visit this week, and my daughter said, "We're gonna take you to Sals!" She ranted and raved about the food. We went, and were greeted by the friendly staff, and the place was small, but very inviting. I decided to get the Reuben Grinder, and my daughter got a soup with her meal, so she ordered the Chili, and gave it to me. My wife ordered a breakfast, and my kids just ordered a hot dog and a burger. Well...What can I say??? The Grinder was HUGE, and in fairness, the Waitress warned me beforehand. I didn't expect it to be that much though! The taste was EXTREMELY AMAZING!! I ate BITE after BITE, savoring each bite!!! And mind you, I'm a guy who can EAT! I wanted to KEEP eating it, but try as I might, I just couldn't finish it! My wife's breakfast was a huge portion, and she couldn't finish hers either. It looked REALLY good! So all in all, the GREAT TASTING FOOD, the inviting atmosphere, the prompt service, huge portions, and friendly staff made for a GREAT dining experience! I see why my daughter calls this her favorite place! Thank you for a GREAT dining experience! If i come again to Monroe, I will be SURE to...

My family has ordered twice this week for dinner. My parents are very happy with the reasonable prices, and we all very much enjoy the food as it is well cooked and delicious... We've been ordering take out thus far so I can't comment on their dining atmosphere and their servers but I'm sure it's all great.. My family will continue to order from here over and over again for a long time..

So far we have ordered fish n chips, the chicken kabobs (chicken was well seasoned but extremely dry), catfish, deep fried walleye (cooked very well but the fish itself had no flavor, thankfully it was deep fried and we had lemons so it still came to taste very good), their special soup which is chicken pastina (you guys need to stop cooking it for too long, the pasta itself is too soft/mushy) but still tastes great, and we've ordered their fries which are really good!! And I hate fries!! But I still eat the fries from sals cuz they're that good!

Ok that's my review. Hope this helps. I highly Recommend...

We stopped for breakfast at the little place on our way to Detroit, because it was conveniently located off of I-75, and man am I glad we did. Being an omelette guy, I was surprised by the different selections they have. Ranging from a gyro to corned beef omelette, I was in a panic on which one to try until I saw the Coney Island. This is a 3 egg omelette filled with 2 grilled hotdogs, American cheese, onions. And topped with chili. It also came with a heaping side of hash browns and toast. The food was absolutely delicious. When me and my three friends got back to the truck, at the same time we all exclaimed how great the food was. I wish we lived closer, because I would definitely be a regular at this restaurant.

This is a hole in the wall three miles off I-75. I purposely chose to come here from a spot three hours drive away based entirely on the Google reviews. Shabby in appearance and service (the wait staff, not knowing who I am, treated non-binary me with thinly disguised disdain), and reflected the same with their food - shabby. I'm pretty sure they used commercial grade ground beef because the chili kept coming back on me for hours afterwards. And the hot dog I had with it? Plain ordinary and overpriced at that. The high rating here might be explained by hometown loyalty as this appears to be the only diner in this little town. If you're traveling, look further down the road.
