The Point — Restaurant in Frenchtown Charter Township

Decided to pop into this place on a whim for a quick dinner. I was literally blown away by this place! I got crab rangoon and a cup of stuffed pepper soup. They were obviously homemade and delicious! My boyfriend got the walleye dinner which was so fresh and SO good. He got the cheesy potatoes as a side (which I ate half of because I couldn't stop!). I'm a cheesy potato freak and these were amazing. The owners and staff are so nice and so down to earth. Loved the atmosphere, everyone was having a good time without being too loud or rowdy. This place is brilliant. The food and service is fantastic. For apps, we had the melted smoked cheese that came with little toasted breads and a nice pico de gallo and some really amazing potstickers. Hubs and I both had burgers (they have a large variety of cheeses, toppings, and sauces to pick from) and they have burger sheets to select all the goodies for them. Was driving between Detroit and Cleveland and decided to stop here on a whim. It's a very local dive bar that is very unassuming from the outside. Waited a bit to be served but once I was served, the service was fantastic. Ordered a burger and clam strips. Burger was great value, $9 with all-inclusive toppings. Food came out a little slow but I wasn't in a rush. Enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and watched a football game while I waited.
