Farmhouse Cafe is one of the best restaurants in town. Amazing customer service, which is very important to me everywhere I go. Dine-in, call ahead, and carry-out available. A huge variety of appetizers, main dishes, salads, diabetic dishes, BYOB's, sides, drinks, and desserts. They serve a full menu all day, every day. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner specials, daily specials, Student discounts w/ID, Senior discounts, Kids menu, and they allow customizing and substitutions. Their prices are fair and the portions are large. I always ask for a To Go box with my meal so I can take ½ with me or I split the meal with whoever I'm dining with.

Today, there were two adults, a teenager, and a 4 year old. We all had meals and sodas/juice and ordered an appetizer. With taxes and a 20% tip, our bill came to $65.00. Short wait times and food is cooked to serve so it's hot and fresh. Booth and table seating options are available. Nice ambiance with a family-friendly atmosphere. Both the restaurant and restrooms are clean and wheelchair accessible. ♿ Handicapped parking and a large parking lot.

It's located on 69 Hwy in Frontenac, so getting in and out of the parking lot is a bit time consuming at times and the entrance/exits could use a repave, but that is seriously their only downfall, as far as I'm concerned. The wait getting back onto 69 Hwy heading South into Pittsburg out of the parking lot is well worth the visit, in my opinion. You can also head North and go through Frontenac to get to Pittsburg, if you don't want to wait on traffic, so it's not terrible. I highly recommend stopping by. It'll be one of your new faves....

This is about the 4rd or 5th time eating here, the food has always been pretty good. My wife doesn't eat like a normal person, she usually orders hamburgers sans the bun and damn near tears the thing apart eating it. Luckily that's the way she likes to eat it, because on her tomato she found metal shavings and in her Burger was a piece of plastic. After we alerted the waitress about the metal shavings she found the plastic piece in the burger, the waitress came back and we told her about the plastic. After she came back one more time she told us that she took the Burger off of the ticket, but also told us that somebody told her that we've been in there before and complained about their food to get money off. We like eating there and it's not that bad of food, we have never once complained about anything being in our food, but yet we get accused of it because we complained once. Unfortunately just cuz you like to eat somewhere because the food is good, it doesn't mean you should be going back to it! It takes more than good food to run a successful restaurant! You do not go accusing customers for "doing it before" if you are not absolutely sure of it... Even then, I don't know if its a good idea.

We will probably never go back! Some of it is because of the metal shavings on the tomato and the plastic in the burger but most of it is because of the fault accusations.

I ate my country fried pork fritter as a sandwich with sliced picked and tomato... I shutter to think of what I...

I am going to tell you that i thought the food was good and the service was good neither were like wow great but the cost was not terrible either. I will go back and try other menu items. the chicken and the side salad were really good. the mashed potatoes not at all cafe style unless instant potatoes is the new in thing. I am critical on the food but do not get me wrong the atmosphere is really pleasant. The only thing that was not liked was the German Potato salad; my wife said it was not even a close resemblance of a German Potato salad. I was surprised not to see any roll or bread served with the meal. Picture below is of my leftover chicken i took to work ( hours later and still super tasty cold) Go try them. I am a harsh Critic of food most folks love the places I...

This was ... Interesting, the food was incredibly basic, awkward waiting area, pretty over priced for what you got (sorry for the partially eaten food) BUT THIS IS WHAT THEY THINK A CHEESE OMLET IS. Like what?? Unseasoned eggs with American cheese slices slapped on top? I spat it out, it was vile. The blueberries in my blueberry pancakes were cooked into only the center and were one giant mass. I will give them this, the bacon was good and so was the hash browns but I just think the food could be so much better with how much you are paying for it. Also the waitress always ran away too fast for me to ask for anything.

My mom made a trip to Farm House cafe earlier today. “Farm house cafe is gone way down hill. The manager on duty is rude and does not have any customer service skills at all. We order a sandwich we always order, a monte Cristo and we get one thin very thin piece of turkey and a single piece of ham. That is not a monte Cristo that we normally get. We say something and the manger on duty says to bad. Will not recommend this place to anyone due to bad customer service. I used to love this place”

We ordered eggs benedict and the truckers skillet. The eggs benedict was cold and the eggs were hard. The truckers skillet came in a skillet which is a neat idea. It was good but wish the shredded potatoes had been cooked a little longer. The service is excellent, however if you're worried about covid I wouldn't recommend because there is no social distancing and the staff don't wear masks. Personally I didn't eveb think about it but my friend was uncomfortable with it
