I order the burrito Supreme lunch special. When it was brought to me, it had maybe 8 pieces of cheese on it. When I asked the server to please take my plate and add a little more cheese because there was so little, he brought me a bowl of cheese instead. I thought the problem was solved. He ended up adding an additional charge for the cheese. When I spoke to the person at the register about it, he tried to tell me that was a normal amount of cheese that came on the burrito, even though he didn't see my plate, and quoted cost. I told him that's not a normal amount of cheese. He said that I'm making a big deal out of .50 cents and if I don't like the service then don't come back. Read moreService was really good, but the food, let's just put it this way... Chef Ramsay would have made a really good episode of Kitchen Nightmares out of it. They did not even have Texas Margueritas (Gold tequilla and Grand Mariner) - their "Shredded Cheese Jalapenos" were frozen and tasted like cardboard. We also had Mocojetes, which was OK flavor wise, but weak on "stuff" in it... small pieces of cactus, light on other veggies and meats. Lots of Broth which was decent tasting, but no way to enjoy it. At least serve more rice and a spoon to serve up the only highlight...
Read moreWe were traveling on I-22 headed on vacation and happened to stop at Los Compadres in Fulton. Well, it's not the nicest looking Mexican restaurant that I've ever seen... BUT, who goes to a Mexican restaurant because of the way it looks?? LOL! We were hungry, and we stopped for dinner. It wasn't busy, the chips were fresh, the salsa had a perfect spiciness to it, and all of our entrées were delicious! Even though we are from Missouri, we will stop back by the next time we are in the area. The service was great, and our server had a great sense of humor....
