My husband and I went there for lunch after hearing others talk about their waffle sandwiches. I was a little disappointed to be honest, donât get me wrong the sandwich was pretty delicious, the concept is great however I probably could have eaten two of them. I got the hot ham and cheddar which is served on a Leige waffle, my husband got their take on the Monte Cristo. On mine there was only two thin pieces of ham on bottom and melted cheddar on top all sandwiched between two leige waffles. Same went with his, he only had two thin pieces of meat as well. Would have been wonderful to have had more meat on it, not sure if you have to request double meat and not sure if so what the upcharge is or would be. The sandwich alone is $8, my husband and I both chose to go with the combo which came with a small bag of chips and drink. Alternatively, they do have a huge selection of ice cream/sundaes/shakes with a wide variety of toppings and add ins to choose from that sound delicious. Would of been neat to sit at the soda shop bar however there was several girls there already sitting at the bar which kinda gave the vibe of an after school hangout. Whole vibe was weird and the food was just ok, over all in the end I suggest you check it out...
Read moreTried Happyâs for the first time today (Saturday morning late July 2025). What a pleasant surprise. We are so happy to see a business like this in Gainesville, and hope they stick around and do very well. It was family/kid friendly with seating in and out doors. Outside has decent shade and water misting fans as well as a small kidsâ table, and some games to play.
We spent about $55 for a family of four (two kids 3 and under) and were full when leaving. We got three treats, three sandwiches, and one large drink. Definitely couldâve gotten less desert items đ but we wanted to try several. The strawberry cheesecake waffle was served with the waffle actually warm on the bottom which made it extra good. Chocolate shake was a good flavor and consistency. All the sandwiches we tried (hottie, BLT, and burger) were served on waffles, and were delicious and fresh (hot!).
We canât wait to return to try the icecream and make this a regular spot...
Read moreI recently stopped by to try this place, and my mom and I got the Cookie Sundae (comes in a cup) and a double scoop of the Cookie Dough ice cream. Although they tasted really good, the prices were pretty steep for the servings. Also, I only counted a tiny piece of cookie dough in my ice cream, so there could be more of that. Might stop by again to try their drinks.
Edited: Came back and tried their Fresas con Crema which is amazing đ„° I highly recommend, and really appreciate the business responding to...
