My now husband and I sought out Jennifer due to a recommendation from our wedding venue. Her portfolio is absolutely stunning, and the taste testing was amazing, so we were more than happy to sign with her. She was great at communication, and added cookies, pralines, and cookies for the rehearsal dinner. I also had mini cakes made for the wedding reception. I also felt she was well priced for the work I was expecting to receive from her. Additionally, my husband and I fell in love with a picture from her own portfolio that we wanted to be recreated. The time came, and I picked the cookies for the rehearsal from her place of business. To say they were beautiful and delicious was an understatement. HOWEVER, the day of the wedding was a different story. It rained, and she said she had a lot of trouble with the fondant, I let that go despite the fact I wasn’t expecting some rain to give that much trouble. It never rained really hard although it did have a short time where it was steady. Secondly, decoration to the cake was missing and left the entire thing looking sloppy. The mini cakes for the guests were not labeled, so no one knew what they were getting. Later on, I’ve had several reports that there was not enough filling and you couldn’t taste the second flavor until you had consumed about half of the cake. Thirdly, she accidentally burned the pralines, but did replace them with some sugar cookies. She did apologize and give a refund for that, as well for the lack of decoration. I do have to say she is honest, and seemed sincere, but overall, I really feel like she didn’t care about our wedding and couldn’t perform to the standards she set with her portfolio. Another major thing that contributed to this review was that my husband is wondering why she never called anyone to explain the issue with the fondant and ask for any instructions. She had the number for me and my wedding planner if any issues were to arise and never utilized it. I would much have preferred to receive a call than to walk into my cake looking like it didn’t matter. I met Jennifer through an open house I was invited to with Photo Booth by Studio 99 and she invited me to try a cupcake...we immediately bonded over that chocolate expresso mini cupcake she makes, that is hands down amazing! As another vendor, I honestly look forward to seeing her (and of course her baked goods) in the North GA area!
