Nelson's Old Riverton Store — Restaurant in Galena

We went in today to get a couple sandwiches. The two young people working today were totally unprofessional. The boy had on headphones and was arguing with the girl. We have been here many many times. We will not be back. We waited for 20 minutes and finally left because our sandwiches were not done yet. The boy kept messing with his hair and headphones and arguing with the girl saying he was quitting and she was his replacement. He said he can't pay his bills working there. This was just very unprofessional. The girl was busy flirting with two different customers and not really helping. I'm sad this store has went downhill in the past year or so. Another lady waiting for her sandwich was upset and also left right...

Drove by this place several times, and finally stopped in to see what it was all about. The lady working that night was very nice and I really wanted to try one of the deli sandwiches, but had dinner recently. I plan to stop in very soon to get a deli sandwich and try the fountain drinks, as I heard they go a little easy on the syrup.

This picturesque Delight has an interior which is small and tight. when you have to squeeze by be extra polite. cold bottled drinks are a special treat, each one a stroll down memory Street. Each tasty sandwich is crafted by hand, I went back for a second the first was so Grand. From the front to the back it's memorabilia, some so old it'll actually thrill ya... Tin roofs are rare so be sure to look up, I did on my way to the shade to eat with my pup. It is clear to all I am no poet but I'll speak truth as best I know it ... The stream of locals and workers too, give the biggest clue ; they think it's worth going and...
