I live in the beautiful subdivision of Fairvue Plantation where Tennessee Grasslands Golf and Country Club is located, and you are not allowed to swim in the pool unless you are a member of the Club. I have contacted Tennessee Grasslands several times when I lived in Foxland, and now that I live in Fairvue, and they are so rude. I have inquired about getting just a membership to let my children swim in the pools. To do that you have to pay for the "social membership" which includes a $3000 initiation fee and then you have to pay $234 year round to keep the membership. So to swim for basically 2 to 3 months out of the year, you have to pay over $5000 which doesn't make any sense at all. Of course they tell you that you can use the two workout facilities, the two pools, and eat at the two restaurants; but they don't care to offer just a package that would let families who live here just go to the pool, if that is all they want to do. It is so sad that this company is more concerned about making money, than letting the residents of this neighborhood use the pool. By their actions it seems like they just want to cater to the rich people in our neighborhoods and could care less about people who don't have $5000 to throw away for 2 months...
Read moreWe had our wedding here, and it was awesome - for the most part. The staff that served our party was truly exceptional, and my wife and I felt like we were pampered and waited on hand and foot. I knocked off a star because I was unable to only knock off half of one, and I only did that because of the groomsmen being meant to use the golfers' lounge to get dressed and being made to feel a little unwelcome there. The event coordinator moved the groomsmen out of the golfers' lounge and into a cottage at our request, which was much nicer for us and substantially more private than the lounge. The food was delicious - we had prime rib and pork tenderloin - and the drinks were great. We also had some amazing hors-d'oeuvres, particularly the crab fritters and spinach artichoke dip. So yeah, overall not bad, but it's important to note that you're only technically renting one floor of the venue if you rent it for a wedding or wedding reception, and the club will remain open for the club members most...
Read moreI'm a wedding designer, floral designer, planner and coordinator. I love working with Fairvue Plantation. Every single staff member is such a joy to work with and they really do a great job with every detail of the wedding day. I get to see them in action during the events, behind the scenes and throughout the planning process. I cannot say enough about how great they are, how beautiful the venue is for an indoor or outdoor wedding. Exceptional service. Delicious food. They are so kind to the vendors and that is soooo important to feel welcome and have the support I need to get my job done. I'm sincerely such a fan! And love that they are in my back yard here in Sumner County too. Deanna Burks, Deanna...
