Subway — Restaurant in Galveston

THIS place is very unprofessional. The employees have attitudes. Hiring new people daily. One girl has warts all over her body and they are allowing someone to make sandwiches like that? I get it she can't help it or whatever. But there is a way she could appear to look better. Her hair is messy and she is dirty. The old manager has even talked about how she can't believe she is working there. Oh actually she's the new managers sister that also works there. There are two younger employees who are nice. My wife and I absolutely love Lacey. She really knows what she's doing. She makes sure that we have everything we need and more. She makes sandwiches the way they should be done. She's respectful and her work ethic is on point. If she comes around the corner and she sees they are busy she comes through like a tornado getting it done and getting customers there food. 😋 If I see she's working we definitely stop and get our sandwiches. I will let my fellow workers know to ask for lacey...

Went in for a sandwich today before work, Monday, October 21 around 5:30 like I usually do a couple days a week. The boy behind the counter tried to tell me the bread I chose was only allowed to be used for 3 specific sandwiches and that I couldn't build my own sandwich... I've been to this location multiple times and have never been told this nor have I ever been told this at any location. When I told him that's not how it works and I can build whatever sandwich I wanted he looked at me like I was retarded and told me no I couldn't. I told them to just forget it and that I'd be taking my business elsewhere and another girl behind the counter chimmed in real snobby like and told me to have a good day before I was done talking. Whoever owns this place either needs to fire these 2 or teach them how to do their job because they've now cost you atleast 1 customer and who knows how many more as I won't be spending...

Against my better judgement I gave this store another try this afternoon. The bread was so stale I'd be surprised if it wasn't 3+ days old. It legitimately broke as she was opening it, but she decided to serve it anyway. I'm unsure who trained this girl in customer service but their title should be revoked as there was no greeting, no thanks, uninterested/ semi-annoyed responses and inquiries, and the most sluggish service I've had the displeasure to be met with at any subway location. The way the sandwich was build also resulted in the majority of the mayo to be left on the wrapping. Not to mention all the meat was on one side, and all the condiments were on the other. It seems like common sense that if you center the ingredients on the sandwich, then when you fold it it is completely disproportioned. Couldn't be...
