Tina's Place — Restaurant in Gas

What a lovely hometown diner. Tina's Place delivers perfectly the local atmosphere and good food. This is a breakfast and lunch only place so come hungry but come early. The decor brings the interior to life with interesting focal points of the area.

I ordered a cheeseburger and fries and could not believe me eyes when it was brought out to the table. This was a serious burger, 1/2 lb of fresh ground beef, lightly seasoned and equipped with a decent amount of trimmings on the side. Very good!

But before the food and before the decor I could really see that Tina's Place was well cared for, the place was exceptionally clean. Very important point to consider. It is a family ran establishment and the family pride is quite evident. They welcome you at the door and treat you like you've been there every day.

Plenty of free parking with handicap access...

First time eating here was today. Have heard good and bad things so thought I would try it for myself. Sunday they have a all you can eat buffet for 8.99 including salad bar. My wife and I thought we would try it. Started at the salad bar and the lettuce was wilted and brown. Was not cut up properly. So move on to the buffet. They had fried chicken, catfish, Salisbury steak. My chicken was just brought out fresh from the kitchen and parts of it was luke warm. On top of just dumping it on top of the old. Mashed potatoes was instant and the white gravy was the worst I've eaten in my lifetime. The corn had a brown tint and I couldn't bring myself to even try it. I travel for work....I don't always have time to wait for a good meal to be prepared for me. I called this morning to Tina's after the other breakfast place in Iola told me I would have a 45 minute wait for a carry out of biscuits n gravy and crisp hasbrowns TO GOx2. We called Tina's instead. Tina's took great care of us this morning and we thank you for helping us out with an amazing quick fast homemade breakfast we could grab n enjoy on the road.
