We made our first, but certainly not our last, visit to Addie's Cup Coffee Shop today. It's a super cute, clean, friendly coffee shop located in Gates Mills, Ohio. We go to a LOT of coffee shops and, without question, this shop has the best bakery I have ever seen or tasted. First off, it's not the large, noisy, super busy coffee shop that you find in a lot of urban areas. Addie's is not very big, and it's more on the quiet, serene side. It's really clean and comfortable, too. The pastry and baked goods are really top-notch. They get their goods from local pastry chefs and bakers and the three items that we tried were just great. As soon as we walked in, we were offered an orange cream cookie that tasted like a Creamsicle! The apple muffin, that I ordered, and my wife's chocolate muffin were perfect. Both had a wonderful texture and flavor. You could tell that these were a labor of love. Excellent all around. The coffee was Tanzanian Peaberry. Not bitter at all, and it was a nice touch seeing a container of almond milk, along with skim and half-and-half on the creamer counter. That level of loving detail and 'nice touches' is a consistent theme throughout the shop. The complimentary water dispenser had slices of orange in it! It looks like they have a couple of soups to choose from, as well as great looking packaged salads (from Sara's Place, next door, I believe) and snacks. If the goal of Addie's is to strive for quality over quantity, they have certainly nailed it. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, looks so good. The owner, Laura, and our barista, Kayla, were just as friendly as could be. Laura sat down at our table to talk to us for a while! By the time we left, we felt like we had added two new friends to our lives. Amazing! Anyway, this place, obviously, comes highly recommended. We will absolutely visit again (and often). It's a real gem.

I only stopped in to find a gluten free pastry and there actually were choices, which you usually don't find in a coffee shop. I tried the banana spinach muffin, and first off found the first 2 ingredients are spinach and bananas! No corn syrup or refined sugars- very natural and it didnt have the sickly sweet flavor you get with store bought muffins. Tasted great and held together well. Staff and owner Laura very pleasant. Shop was clean and looks like I could have eaten it inside or out with some great coffee but I'll have to come back for that. Wish they were open Sundays so I could take a bike ride then stop on for a treat.

Addie’s Coffee Shop is adorable, delicious, and incredibly inviting. The staff, including the owner Laura could not have been more accommodating and lovely. I had the gf/df blueberry muffin that they heated up for me with an almond milk latte. It really hit the spot on this cold and rainy Monday. After enjoying my coffee at an adorable cafe table with some other guests, I realized I was not going to be able to grab lunch today. So I had their chicken chili, which was freshly made and also very good. I highly recommend you check out the cutest coffee...
