You CANNOT tell me people are not being paid for their 5 star reviews. We ordered ahead via their business website, 30 minutes later we arrive and they have not made our order. They look in the system and find it and say they will make it, annoying-but it happens. We go to the “gas station side” to get chips and drinks to go with the pizza. We go up to pay for the chips and drinks (it would have been nice for them to offer to comp some of it because our order wasn’t made, but that’s not make or break), we sit down with our 2 children. My husband eats a chip and starts to look at the expiration date because they tasted weird…1.5 YEARS past the expiration date. All of our chips were expired, some by a month, some by 1.5 YEARS. They allowed us to swap out the expired chips. We get our pizza and breadsticks and realize they forgot our cheese sauce, again not make or break, but annoying. I go back up and ask for the cheese, she takes time to look back through the order to ensure we had actually ordered it then finally gives us what we ordered. Now to the food, AWFUL. Between the four of us, we threw away over 3/4 of the pizza. We paid $70 for 1 XL pizza, 2 orders of breadsticks, 4 drinks, and 4 bags of small chips & wasted ALL of it, other than the drinks. It gets even better, the whole environment wasn’t great, but have the small town cozy vibe, but was still dirty…the bathroom, oh my gosh. Moldy, dirty walls, ripped up tile, one single square of floral wallpaper covering I’m assuming a hole or something in the wall…picture attached. Please save yourself the time & expensive cost...
Read moreMy wife and I have visited this area for vacation over the past few years and we never noticed this place. It sits back off the East Parkway and just sort of blends in and is easy to pass by without noticing. However, when my wife and I were looking for a place to order and pick up a pizza and a few other things, a Google search directed us to this place. We got to speak with the owners, and they are the best! This place not only makes pizza, sandwiches, salads, etc., but they are also a little mini-mart type of store, with small sized packages of things for travelers visiting the area. Laundry supplies, toiletries, cooking supplies, and of course different snacks, ice cream, assorted carbonated beverages, and much more can be found in this little establishment. There are even some tables outside if you wish to eat your food there. We took our pizza and chef salad back to our cabin to eat. The salad was pretty good, and all of the ingredients looked and tasted very fresh. The meat lovers pizza....well it was pretty average at best. It was pretty dry and had very little cheese, but the cost was low so we didn't expect much more. Overall I think this is an amazing little place, and it is very convenient for people that live in or are visiting the area. We will definitely visit again, and likely try one of their...
Read moreThis place was wonderful! We were wanting something to eat for lunch and had already left downtown Gatlinburg. We were passing by this place and decided to stop in and I'm so glad we did. I love a good reuben sandwich and I'm skeptical of getting one anywhere new because I'm always scared it won't be up to my standards - not to sound too picky. I decided to order one here because it's usually the 'hole in the wall' places that have the best food. I was right!!! This reuben was DELICOUS!! The bread was perfect and the whole sandwich and meal was great. I ordered the tater tots to go with it and they were fantastic as well. I tried the fries, which had a seasoning on them, and they were great too! The people I was with said their food was delicious as well - Philly cheesesteak, turkey sub, and a pizza type sub. When I come back to the area, I will definitely be stopping in to get me another reuben! The inside of the restaurant was very quaint and quiet and it also had a small store connected to it as well. It's like a little deli/café. The employees were friendly, too. If you visit Gatlinburg, be sure to check out the local, smaller restaurants and not just the chains. You will find a gem of a place to eat some delicious food and meet some very nice local people. Any place where the locals eat all the time, is the place I...
