Yummy, yummy indeed. This place knocked it out of the park for under 15 bucks. FANTASTIC!! Wow!
I was quickly seated and decided to try the tea - skipped the rootbeer this time. They charge 3.50 for soda... too much. Learned that lesson last time. The lady who seated me poured the tea and was friendly. She is a fun human and, when serving the food, she will say "Yummy, yummy" in an almost comical way. I love her attitude and friendliness.
I ordered the 3 item combo this time... and selected an egg roll, sweet and sour chicken, and almond chicken. It also came with a cup of egg flower soup.
The egg flower soup was very tasty and hot. The food arrived quickly - the sweet and sour chicken is amazing - the sauce is perfect and the chicken hot and crispy... as was the almond chicken. Fantastic stuff. I felt the egg roll was maybe freezer burned last time I was here, so I skipped it... this time, I made myself try it even though in appearance it looks different than most egg rolls, and I am so glad I ate it this time. The texture was amazing, and the flavor was outstanding. Maybe one of the best eggrolls I've ever eaten.
Also, the service deserves 10 stars - my small water glass never reached the bottom. The service interacted at the correct times and was so friendly in doing so. I am very glad I decided to come back to this spot...
And all for under 15 bucks. The value here is outstanding, especially considering their perfectly attentive service. Will be back... now a fan. Thank you for the good food and service....
Read moreWell I had very high.hopes for a great Chineese lunch. From outward apperances i really got my hopes up.. the decor was traditional chineese restutant, with woodcarvings and reliefs.. We found the menu a little odd. And it was missing some of our favorite dishes. The waitress was great and very attentive. I started my meal with hot and sour soup. It had good flavor but was not hot. I ordered a "build your own combo plate" consisting of sweet and sour chicken, chicken chow mein, and an eggroll.. the Wife ordered pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and Fried almond chicken. The sweet and sour was the normal fare. The eggroll was either over cooked or reheated, as it was very dry. The winner was the chow mein. It had good flavor and the veggies still had a good crunch to them. My wifes food was a bit odd. The rice was uninspired. It seemed little more thst rice with soy sauce. The most perplexing thing was the almond chicken.. it usually has a white gravey on it.. thus came with a brown gravey that was not a chiken base.. it tasted like beef. It drowned out any almomd flavor. The price of the meal was very low. But I...
Read moreService was great. Friendly, and fast. Food came out quickly. It would earn a five star in its own category. But the food was the big let down.
Everything we ate, tasted absolutely bland and tasteless. The best way I can describe it, was that they threw everything, (chicken, French fries, chicken strips ) into a deep fryer., and then pulled it out and threw it on the plates. The sweet and sour sauce for me, and the sesame sauce for my wife seemed to be more of an after thought realizing that they couldn’t just put fried chicken on our plates. My sweet and sour barely resembled sweet and sour. My wife’s sesame sauce though, I had no idea what was going on there, but it was definitely not sesame sauce.
I’ve ate at some really good Asian places before. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back here, and recommend others to go elsewhere...
