Bray Road Diner — Restaurant in Genesee Charter Township

Hi! 👋 I'm the server. Just to be clear, you came into our restaurant on a Sunday during Church lunch rush, proceeded to just seat yourself at a table that still had the previous customers dishes on it (they had just left by the way) And you're mad that somebody didn't get right to you? You were not there for 15 minutes. It was probably 7 at MOST. With that being said, we have several tables that we are trying to tend to, Just because you sit yourself at a dirty table doesn't mean we're going to stop what we're doing with our other tables and prioritize you. We work on a rotation system. Which means that the ones that came in before you, are the ones that get waited on before you. You don't get to jump line. That's not fair to our other customers that have been there waiting. I am definitely not a rude person, But I do know that I don't know many dining establishments that allow outside drinks to be brought in. The reason for this, is because regardless of what your cup says, I can't guarantee what's in there. It's a safety thing. We are one of those that do not. I will not break the rules of my job over a $7 coffee...

The food is good . The staff is nice but the restaurant itself really needs some work . It not very clean . The last 2 times I ate there I seen food from the previous people on the floor in front of my table or under it . They have boxes sitting in booths with crocheted pillows piled up that look dusty. Also boxes in tables with the salt n pepper & other condiments just sitting on different tables. The last problem I seen was they always have one waitress . My family went in there in a weekend morning & the place was packed but everyone was having to get up & all for things . I even went to one of those boxes I spoke of to get jelly for my toast. The waitress is great but one person can only do so much ! At least get one more person for...

Very disappointing visit. I couldn't tell you if the food was worth a damn or not. I had a day trip planned for my family that included a lunch stop here. We sat for nearly 20 minutes, without so much as a "hi, someone will be right with you". The place was not very busy (3 tables of guests besides ours), but we sensed that the 3 servers working at the time, were very specifically focused on tending to their "regular" customers, and not at all concerned with our group of non regulars. My family was ready to go after being disregarded for the first 10 minutes. I kept us there in hopes of eventually getting some service. After 20 minutes even my patience was gone.
