The Classic Coney Island — Restaurant in Genesee Charter Township

Haven't been to the Genesee location in quite a few years but we always use to go to the one In the city of MT.Morris when Classic Coney Island was there and so miss it and i always got either the Blueberry pancakes with the blueberries cooked into the pancakes as i prefer them cooked into them instead of on top and love that they have sugar free syrup as I'm a type 1 extremely brittle diabetic since childhood so we don't eat out a whole lot but when we do its a treat for me , and love the grits i like putting butter and also sugar free syrup in that in place of brown sugar of course being a diabetic , and the southern Hash omg is to die for but i like my southern hash literally floating in the sausage gravy lol , the gyros in the old Clio location which we would go to after church when that was open was good and i always had to get extra cucumber sause on the side as well as on it as i liked to not only put it on my gyro but dip my fries in it and i can't remember if you have the seasoned curly fries or not but if you don't you definitely need to get some , AND PLEASE THINK ABOUT OPENING UP A RESTAURANT BACK UP IN MT.MORRIS AS WE LITERALLY DON'T HAVE ANYWHERE TO GO FOR BREAKFAST AROUND HERE , ALL WE HAVE HERE IN Mt.MORRIS IS LITERALLY JUST MEXICAN RESTAURANT'S 2 OF THEM ACTUALLY AND FAST FOOD PLACES OH AND 1 CHINESEE RESTAURANT NOTHING ELSE EXCEPT FOR BAR'S AND LIQUOR STORES , WE REALLY REALLY NEED A GOOD PLACE TO GO TO THAT WE CAN GO AND SIT DOWN AND HAVE A GOOD BREAKFAST AND LUNCH AND DINNER , AND WELL THE OLD LaVILLA'S HAS BEEN UP FOR SALE FOR AWHILE SINCE THE OWNER DECIDED TO RETIRE SO THAT WOULD BE A GREAT PLACE FOR NOT ONLY THE COMMUNITY OF Mt.MORRIS TO GO TO AND HAVE A PLACE TO SIT DOWN AND ACTUALLY HAVE A DECENT BREAKFAST , LUNCH AND DINNER WITH AFFORDABLE PRICES IT WOULD BE A GOOD PLACE FOR OUR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS AND FIRST RESPONDERS TO ACTUALLY ALSO GO A HAVE A DECENT MEAL ON THEIR BREAKS WHEN THEY DO GET A CHANCE TOO AND ARE ABLE TOO , AND JUST IMAGINE ALL THE BUSINESS YOU WOULD GET , KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY, AND HOPEFULLY WE WILL SEE YOU SOON BEFORE MY HUSBAND GET'S LAYED OFF THE FIRST WEEK OF OCTOBER ACTUALLY ON HIS...

Not only was the service person the least friendly person that I've ever talked to, when asking for sauerkraut to come on a cornedbeef sandwich along with 1000 island, she gave no thousand island and they put coleslaw on the sandwich instead. When I came to pick up the order, I inquired about the 1000 island and she started trying to argue with me about it. I suppose she had never in her life heard of a Reuben Sandwich.

Anyway, my end of the order was a gyro and I must say, I have never tasted a gyro that has tasted closer to the flavor and consistency of toilet paper in my life. I didn't know you could do that to gyro meat. I loved the 5 week old pita though. I also had no idea pita was supposed to be crunchy and stale simultaneously.

Worst service ever!!!! Ordered takeout shrimp basket and fish and chips, even left a decent tip for barely having to do anything!!!! I asked is the extra sauces and lemon in the bag the little blonde who was ringing me up said oh no I forgot the lemon…. Runs back gets the lemon and sends me on my way. Get home and there was only one cocktail and one tartar, so I had to drive back, and he legit handed me two sauces, and I said I have to drive can I have a bag? Oh geez what an inconvenience…. I kinda paused when she handed me the bag, just to see if I would get and I’m sorry, or a my bad or anything. She said ummm can I help you with something else, and I said how about an apology for my having to go home to now cold food and my gas to drive back …. Naw too much yo ask from this generation...
