Second day they were open so forgive the servers sloth like deliverys. She was a lovely human but strapped and has to walk a flight of steps for everything forgotten..We waited about 20 minutes to recieve two small cereal sized salad bowls of 95% iceburg lettuce.Good thing we added the protien (four small shrimp)for way too much money although they were warm and delicious way too much asked for this tiny salad..I looked forward to eatting it but they forgot the dressing so I waited while I saw our waitress come n go up steps twice with no ranch.Third time she walked past us entering the bar and coming out with three tiny lemons in a shot glass that we requested from the start..I reminded her I needed ranch for my salad and down the steps she went.Over half hour hadn’t eaten yet and my French onion soup came by another waitress. It looked delicious..and would be a feast for a 4 year old..it was maybe 4 ounces..not even a small cups worth.I will include pictures, you decide if my words are accurate.Wonderful new atmosphere and will try them again n see if anything changes n try some other food, soooo disappointed in paying near $50 for two cereal bowls of iceburg lettuce and one French onion soup (only one size available it didn’t mention size)..I had water my husband Pepsi Zero that we waited 15 minutes for a to go cup she said they had no lids for that never came. Also,I’ve come to see there were no smoked tomato’s on our salads either..Sure hope things get better for all of us,this brand new place has wonderful potential.

Rails and Ales is an absolute gem to have in Georgetown! The food is incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The smoked wings were out of this world — honestly the best I’ve ever eaten. The pretzels and beer cheese were another highlight, made of fresh bread and deep-fried to perfection. The fish was very fresh and lightly battered with the best homemade cole slaw that I couldnt get enough of. (I NEED THIS RECIPE) Everything tasted homemade and carefully prepared. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to again and again! I went the first weekend of opening. The servers were great! They had a packed house and did the best they could with the amount of people there. I did not mind the wait because the food was just that great!!! Cannot wait to go again!

First time here, not impressed. I understand it has just opened so I have taken that into consideration. The building and interior are nice but they could use more parking. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is excellent! Glad to see a brewery/restaurant in Georgetown! I ordered the steak sandwich medium/rare and coleslaw. Very tuff steak with burnt bread and little flavor. The coleslaw was very soupy, not proper coleslaw! Also, the portion size is small for the price, seems you are not getting what you pay for. $18 for this steak sandwich and $3 extra for a side is insane! I'll be back for a beer and maybe try the perogies but as of now it's not a place I would recommend.

Very nice place. Newly remodeled, Excellent service, always attentive and never went without a drink. The food however was sub par. There isnt a lot of entree or main course meals to choose from and our party tried the hamburger and the chicken sandwich. The hamburger was just a thick hamburger, tasted okay, the fries supplied with the burger were soggy and cooled. The chicken sandwich was huge, could barely take a bite of it. We dont know how their chicken is made or where they source from but it appeared they take multiple pieces of chicken and press them together and then fry them. The chicken tasted good but there were multiple spots where it was more fat and tendon than chicken. The fries with my chicken were hot and good. My party didnt enjoy the mac and cheese although I thought it was actually decent. It definitely seems as though they cant cook enough food at once or cant get timings down as we along with other guests received their meals seperately from each other. They advertised fried green tomatoes which we also tried, they in fact weren't green. They were fully ripe tomatoes, fried. Overall we were not impressed and not pleased in relation to the...

An exciting new restaurant that ultimately falls a bit short for the price they ask.

It’s nice to have new options in Georgetown and this place looks like a winner, but ultimately fell short of my expectations. The food was decent, but to be honest, it was difficult to get a read on the quality because by the time we received our food, it was already room temperature. I ordered the burger and the temperature difference between the warm patty and the cold pickles was negligible. My wife ordered the fish and chips, which also came out at room temperature.

Additionally we ordered the pretzel with beer cheese appetizer which took about 20 minutes to come out, and was slightly warmer than room temperature. In full transparency, however, the beer cheese was actually really good.

When we went to pay, our waitress mentioned “y’all picked a good time to beat the rush.”

We were sat on the second floor and my hunch is our food’s temperature may have been a consequence of getting the waitstaff to carry food from the downstairs kitchen all the way up the stairs to the second floor. Perhaps a dumbwaiter would help out.

Will likely give it another shot...
