This review is going to be long, so please bear with me. I attended a gathering at this location on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. As a black business owner myself I wholeheartedly believe in suggestion cards so management can get a real time evaluation of their business. This is a practice that most businesses do not take a vantage of just like this one does not. The first issue I noticed while attending this establishment. The dark skin complexion waiter with the tattoos does not appear at all like she wants to work. This was evident not only by my own experience, but also by multiple other customers, who stated that this waiter appears as though she does not like the people she is serving. Another observation was the owner himself. The gathering consisted of ladies in dresses and heels and gentlemen in button ups shirts. The owner walked around with basketball shorts, a T-shirt and slides. Unprofessional. The two waiters in the establishment had to wait on about 40 to 50 people all while the the owner provided no assistance to his waiter staff. Unprofessional. This is possibly the reason why our waiter appeared to not want to work. If management/owner is unprofessional, it most likely will rub off on the staff. The last issue was the cost of water. Yes, water is not free at this establishment. This is an establishment that sells alcohol, but does not provide free portable water. The charge that I had to pay for a small possibly 10 ounce bottle of Fiji water was $7 with no option of free water. This is honestly the only restaurant/bar that I have ever been in that does not provide free water. After I left the establishment, I drove to a gas station and paid about three dollars for 33 ounce of Fiji water from racetrack because the amount of salt on the onion rings caused me to feel dehydrated. Now I do not want to leave a review without speaking on the things that I enjoyed about the establishment. Outside of the overly salted onion rings all of the food was delicious. The chef is good at cooking and food presentation. I also would like to tip my hat at the bartender. Professional and clearly follows standard operating procedures. Another good part about this business is the interior ambience. Very comfortable and beautiful. Suggesting to the owner in the T-shirt, basketball, shorts and slides. Please drive down the street to the Marietta fishmarket sit down and have a meal. You will notice free water, the owner/management picking up the slack of any waiter and you will notice the waiters are not bus boys. This establishment has a lot of potential if the owner steps up his professionalism, implements, a standard operating procedure and provide free water. This business will surely rise to the next level. As of right now, I have no desire at all to go back to this establishment. In all I spent about three hours in this establishment and spent about $160.
