I ordered a 10â Reese Blizzard and I was completely bewildered went I picked up the cake. The Happy Birthday Tracy on the cake was written in all lower case letters and it looked very elementary but was for a 55 year old adult. I asked if a capital letter could be at least corrected for the name and I was told ânoâ. I asked to speak with the manager and the nice young man got her for me. The âmanagerâ, Rose, came up and told me she wrote on the cake and asked whatâs the problem. I told her the writing looked like for a child in kindergarten with all of the lower case letters. Rose told me she didnât know how to write capital letters. I was completely flabbergasted! This conversation continued and I expressed my dismay and she said that sheâs not a cake decorator and she had to make this cake even when her person should not have even taken a cake order. I asked Rose if there wasnât enough space for capital letters on the cake and she said thereâs plenty of room but she doesnât know how to write capital letters. I asked Rose if English is her native language and she said it was. Then, I told Rose that she definitely knows how to write capital letters but chose not to do so in this case. Rose was very rude and just kept reiterating how she didnât know how to write capital letters (as a crutch). There were customers around the counter and behind us laughing every time Rose said âI donât know to write capital lettersâ. I even heard a little boy speak up and say âI know how to write capital lettersâ. Also, the incompetent manager/Rose was in her mid to late 20âs. I will never order a cake from Dairy Queen again! Losing one customer will not Dairy Queenâs business, but the true management and/or owners of Dairy Queen needs to pay attention to their staff treating customers in such a manner because it will definitely hurt their business in...
Read moreI tried to pick up an order, but they refused to give it to me in the drive through, despite the fact that I had already been in the drive through for 10 minutes and there were absolutely no signs anywhere that said I shouldn't pick up my order in the drive through. I was told to park and they would bring the order out to me. Five minutes later, I called them to ask what the delay was, and they said they wouldn't bring it out to me, that store policy required me to come in, regardless of the fact that I had already been told otherwise. I spoke with the assistant manager, told her the whole situation, and she still instisted that I come in to pick up the order, that she would not bend her manager's policy, despite the fact that my order was 20 minutes late at this point. She then attempted to lie and claim that the window attendant had never said the order would be brought out. I have never in my life encountered such an incredibly...
Read moreAn exceptional Dairy Queen. Donât just go for the blizzard. The food is great here too, and the environment is so nice you might want to hang around a while.
If youâre like me you might have been turned off by Dairy Queen for the last 20-30yrs (other than blizzards). So many of them are run down or inconsistent. This one is the best one Iâve ever been in by a long shot.
This location is in a newish facility with very nice seating either indoor or outdoor (especially nice for a quick serve restaurant). They even have a corn hole game outside and itâs a great place to have a small gathering for the DQ loverâs birthday or other special occasion.
The staff is super friendly. The owners were there and itâs easy to see their southern hospitality is part of the success for their DQ.
We had a large group and got a little bit of everything. It was all great and quick. I love blizzards so I canât wait...
