*It truly saddens my heart to have too leave this place a bad review! 20 years ago my older brother made taking me to dinner here as my present! So naturally i just recently got engaged and we have a son of our own i wanted this place to hold special memories for my own little family! I finally convinced my fiancee to please try it so he would fall in love not only with its atmosphere but with all its charm! I had all intentions of having my engagment dinner here with both sets of parents! Well i called today and found out they were allowing dine in! Drove an hr to get there! We order our food and my fiancee seems pleased until my salad comes out with molded cheese! I politely walk it up to the cashier, show her, she takes it back! 10 mins later brings me the same salad back still containing the molded cheese! Our waitress pops in about 15 mins later and i plainly tell her im to the point of just driving through mcdonalds! My fiancee ask me to be patient! They bring our food and after all this he has ordered a bake potato and i asked her where it was and she just simply replied oh we are out! Never once came to our table ahead of our food! Magically she finds him one and by then i have became so disappointed and heart broken! We received no rolls with our meal! And to beat it all the cashier nor waitress tried to make it better! The 3rd salad i finally received had 2 pieces of sliced cheese threw on top! The cashier when my fiancee pointed out the aggravation and disappointment that she wasn't wearing her glasses when she brought me the same moldy salad back the 2nd time!!! We unfortunately paid their full price because neither out waitress, nor kitchen help, nor cashier cared that they had tried feeding me mold! I will miss the place it once was..... But will not be apart of the circus...

I've heard rave reviews about this place for years, so I finally decided to go with some friends and family. Pictures of steaks that covered the entire plate were certainly enticing.
We arrived and checked in, only to wait over an hour outside in the rain to be seated, along with about thirty other people. (For the amount of business this place does, a covered waiting area wouldn't be an out of the way investment). Once inside, we were packed in like sardines, with barely room to squeeze amongst the tables. (To be fair, this would have all been worthwhile for the quality of food this place is supposedly known for, but more on that issue later).
The one good thing that I can say is that the wait staff were excellent, fast and friendly, and once we had ordered the food came quickly as well. However, much to my dismay, my thin, (1/2 inch or so) super fatty (over half the steak was solid fat) ribeye arrived cooked medium to medium well instead of the rare that I requested (even though I got a touch of nostalgia from the red plastic "rare" doneness tag embedded in the meat).
We paid steakhouse prices for fast food quality meat (I've seriously had better steak from a Waffle House at 2am) a bowl full of chunks of lettuce and tomato with half a cup of dressing slathered over the top, and a normal baked potato (at least it was a good sized potato, cooked well).
I will never understand how anyone could give this place a good rating unless they truly don't know what a good steak is. Perhaps the other dishes are better, but I doubt that I will find out any time soon.
And don't forget to bring cash or a check, because they don't take plastic.
Alternately, save yourself money and trouble and go to Texas...
Read moreThe food was over priced, over and undercooked. There is no seasoning on the food at all it is just fried and sent out. If you order something be prepared to wait a while and to also remind them about it, an example being we ordered the onion rings as and appetizer. We watched as three tables that were sat do after us got their onion rings before we had to remind them. Their responce oh they must have served them to one of the other tables. Then they tried to serve them to another table again. The one that they served us was the same size as the side order instead of the appetizer size, understand there were five people at our table. One 'onion ring' was nothing but fried dough! There was hardly enough of them for each person to have any.
There the place is cramped to a point that it is uncomfortable if you are placed in dinning room 2. To show this my mom was squished about three times by the people behind her. You couldn't even get a sheet of paper between the chairs. It was so loud in the back dining room that you could only hear the person beside you. If you need to get out you might as well just hold it because of the pain it is to get in and out.
They have also started taking only check or cash, which was not the case a couple of years ago so good luck if you don't see the sign when you walk in because they will not tell you. By the way the sign is located towards the top of the front door and the bottom of the number stand thing outside. Luckily we did see this and had checks.
I'm not sure if it is new owners or people just thinking that they have now made it big, but don't waste you time or money until they get their act...
