It's Mexican'ish food in Thomson! Like most restaurants in this area the food is tailored to the local palate(boring). Authentic Mexican - No, not even close! My daughter ordered chili relieno, what she was served was unbreaded peppers with ground beef and white cheese sauce. Real Chile relieno is stuffed with cheese only and lightly breaded with a red chili sauce. We did not receive our entire order. The waiter forgot to place one persons order, so they had to reorder and wait longer for their food to arrive, the majority had all but finished their meal by the time that order arrived. My meal was brought out without tortillas, had to ask a different server to get some for me as our server did a drop and run and was MIA. Wife said her Margarita was good. I asked the waiter if they had a spicier salsa then the ones he brought out with the chips, he returned with one spicier and quite tasty, was surprised a bit to see it added as an additional charge on the bill, really think they should ask if you want spicy or mild. 3 stars as this is the better of the two Mexican restaurants in town, but that isn't saying much. I always order the chicken fajita nachos every time I come here. This meal comes served on top of chips but I always substitute the chips for rice. I’ve never had any issues with service or the food but this time I had a manager came up to the table and asked if I just wanted to order the Texas rice istead. I told him I did not want to order the Texas rice because I didn’t want the steak or shimp in my meal and he proceeded to walk off. My meal came out and was exactly what I ordered. I had no issues with the food until my check was brought to me. I then saw that I had been charged for Texas rice which comes with chicken, steak, and shimp. I just don’t see why I was charged for a different meal even after the manager came up and asked me if I wanted a different meal. If I wanted steak and shrimp with my meal I would’ve ordered the Texas rice. I hate this had to happen because I love the food and never had any problems with service. Ordered half an order of texas rice over the phone. When I arrived the total was 11.02 I gave the cashier 20.05 and she could not figure the change out then she brought a manager over to realize that she was incorrect after I told her the correct change would of been 9.03 she then got mad and walked away. Then I proceeded to wait 18 minutes for my order and 5 workers asked me what I was waiting for. When the 5th asked me he handed me a bag that had been sitting on the table since I had gotten there it had been on that table for over 20 minutes.
