Wait wasn't too bad. We got there about 5:30pm. The crowd and wait only got larger after. The lady putting our names on the wait list was amazing, kind and relayed honest info about wait times and stuff. The waitress was busy but was still efficient and helpful with us, checking in a couple of times. Greg got the whole catfish plate, slaw, fries and hush puppies. I got catfish fillets and oysters (fried), cheese grits, fries, hush puppies and an order of sweet pickles. We liked the fillets better than the whole catfish, but everything was delicious. Can't wait to visit again!

If you’re looking for good fried food made fresh, Jacks is the place. Simple dining but done right. Very generous portions and great customer service. Check it out!

Title: The Best Steak in Middle Georgia? Only at Jack’s Catfish & Shrimp!Review: Alright, folks, buckle up because I’ve got a secret to spill that’s too good to keep. When you hear Jack’s Catfish & Shrimp, you might think, “Ah, another great spot for seafood in Middle Georgia,” and you wouldn't be wrong. But let me tell you, it’s their steak that’s the real MVP of Middle Georgia’s culinary scene. Now, I know what you’re thinking. “A seafood place that serves the best steak?” But trust me on this one. The first time I tried their steak, I was blown away. It was love at first bite. The steak at Jack’s Catfish & Shrimp is so tender, so perfectly seasoned, it’s like they’ve unlocked some secret steak-cooking level that the rest of us mere mortals can only dream of reaching. And sure, the catfish and shrimp are fantastic – they’ve got that down to a fine art. But the steak? It’s in a league of its own. Each bite is a juicy, flavorful journey that makes you look around and wonder, “Is everyone else tasting this?!”The vibe of the place is just as good. No frills, no fuss, just a focus on serving great food. It’s the kind of spot where you want to become a regular, not just for the food, but because the folks here make you feel like family. So, if you find yourself in Middle Georgia with a craving for an unforgettable meal, do yourself a favor and drop by Jack’s Catfish & Shrimp. Sure, get the seafood – it’s in the name, after all. But don’t you dare leave without trying the steak. You’ll be planning your next visit before you’ve even left the parking lot. Trust me,...

Was coming to Dublin for an overnight stay and came across Jack's searching online. It intrigued me and we decided to give it a shot. The drive to the restaurant was a bit concerning. We were not sure a decent restaurant was going to be on the other end.😅 It's flanked on one side by the river and the other side by a beautiful (yes, I said beautiful) swamp. The setting was actually quite perfect for the place. My husband loved that they brought a full pitcher of sweet tea and left it on the table. We were asked if we wanted any pickles and or onions. We assumed they meant fried until we saw a waitress walk by with a bowl of uncooked pickle chips and a bowl of raw onion rings and set them on a neighboring table. I had no idea that was a "thing"! I had a "Swamp Plate" that had gator, frog legs, cat fish and shrimp. My husband had the two quail platter which he enjoyed. My niece had the fried shrimp platter. It was all good. Their slaw is very different than any I've had, but was quite good. The service was wonderful! The most genuinely welcoming staff I may have ever encountered. So glad we took the ride out. This was a super fun experience. I'll be back to try that...

My wife and I would eat here fairly regularly when we wanted some good fried fish. The food and service was usually on point without any issue(s). However my last visit as of June 5, 2025 will no doubt be my last visit. On the above date I attempted to call in a carryout order as I was leaving Dublin City hall. An employee answered the phone "Jack's, can you please hold". I held and held and listened to her cash out as many seven customers. I held until I actually reached the restaurant and walked up to the cashier. "Hi can I help you?" I replied "i'm still hold so you can hang up the phone". She looks surprised and offers no apology for the wait. I should've walked out at that point, however the service just got ruder. I'm certain my money will be better spent at another establishment going forward. I won't tolerate anyone's disrespect where I'm spending money. But not to worry because that was the last visit of me and my family and I plan to share my experience. Work on your customer service for all patrons, ...
