We visited this restaurant for the first time to celebrate our daughter’s graduation—a special occasion she was excited about and had personally made the reservation for. When we arrived, the atmosphere seemed vibrant and busy. We sat at the bar for cocktails while waiting for our table and were served by a bartender who was attentive and pleasant, though clearly overwhelmed and in need of support. Once we were finally seated, our server Taylor was polite but seemed just as overwhelmed. What followed was a nearly two-hour wait for our food. Despite repeated check-ins, Taylor could only tell us the kitchen was “working on it,” with no updates or accountability. What made this experience significantly worse was how poorly management handled the situation. Several managers were visibly walking the floor, but when I approached one to express our frustration after waiting almost two hours, his response was shockingly dismissive: “Everyone else is waiting too.” No apology. No urgency. Just a shrug and then he walked away. When our food finally arrived, it was unsurprisingly cold and unappetizing. There was no attempt to make it right—no manager came back to check in, no gesture of goodwill, not even basic hospitality. This was supposed to be a memorable night for our daughter. Instead, it became a frustrating experience that showed how little this restaurant seems to care about its guests—even on special occasions. Based on how management handled this, we will not be returning, and we sincerely hope others reconsider before spending their time and money here.

A TRUE REVIEW THE DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH The food was wonderful. My steak (12 oz. boneless ribeye) was perfect. I had no issues with the food. However, I feel that the service is left wanting. Knowing quite a bit about wine, I asked my server for a suggestion. She suggested a sweet red dessert wine to accompany a steak and garlic mashed potatoes. I also did the same with dessert. The young lady flat out told me, "I dont know, but we sell a lot of this one". I would like to lend a hand in advice to the owners. If you are trying to take this chophouse to the next level, give your serving staff a lesson in wine/beer peelings, teach them the proper way to serve food (serve from the left, pick up on the right) and do a food tasting as they may be better prepared for guest questions. Also, dont stand at the door like a gang of bandits. If your presentation at the door is to have your serve staff welcome/ bid fare well to guest then do that. Dont stand at the door having a massive conversation with each other while the guest is trying to get out the door then realize the guest is leaving and yell out "BYE!". The restaurant is new to most. In that case, maybe give a small tour to newcomers. Take every opportunity to sell your product. Not just the food. It must be everything. I wish you good luck and I will be back soon to see your improvements. I feel you could really be a diamond in the rough.

My husband and I decided to go here tonight as we hadn't been there for a while, we wanted steak so we looked at the menu and yeah let's try it. My husband had the 12 ounce ribeye and baked potato and I had the beef tips with mushrooms and gravy, mashed potato and farmers carrots. The atmosphere was blah and dark, my husband enjoyed his meal but mine was ok, the mashed potato's had the skins on and the beef tips had a big dollop of cold icky looking stuff which was supposedly gravy it was cold and awful, the carrots were ok but looked dreadful. The manager on duty (I'm assuming) walked over to the table next to us and checked on them and talked to them three times then he talked to the people at the bar and completely ignored us...if he had talked to us or even acknowledged us it may have been better but of course we weren't his regulars. The service was not good and we felt like we weren't wanted there. If you want a nice steak dinner where you are appreciated don't go here. The picture is the beef tips with mashed potatoes and farmers carrots...bloody awful looking not to mention the price.

My husband and I are traveling and we were ambivalent for dinner. hemming and hawing, we decided on Jack's, mainly because it pretty close to where we were staying. (It had been a very long day and close by was a good reason to pick a place for a late dinner.)

We arrived around 8pm, and the parking lot was still full but we were seated immediately by the bar and our waitress, Nicky, came bustling up. And bustle she did. I don't think I saw her stop for the 30+ minutes until most of her tables cleared out. I intentionally kept her at our table twice just so she could catch her breath and stop for a moment before getting back to her hustle and grind (which was 5 tables including one out on the patio who were taking their time ordering and not being too helpful whe she was bringing out six meals at the same time and no one to help her get through the closed doorway.)

He ordered a tap beer and I eventually had a glass of Malbec with dinner. He picked the salmon with veggies and I had beef tips with onions and mushrooms (and a side salad.)

The salad had too much dressing (not a big deal since it came out after my dinner came out which was lightning fast) and surprisingly, the mushrooms were hot and fresh but the steak tips weren't. They were excellent, soft and almost fork tender but maybe it was due to ordering the tips medium rare instead of medium. (It's a rare occurrence that I get my steak exactly to order. Most of the time I ask for medium rare and get medium which is why I don't order medium because it, most of the time, comes to me medium-done to well done. I'm sorry but I won't eat well done, much less with ketchup.)

The malbec was excellent with the steak tips and my husband enjoyed his beer.

The price was what you would expect for a chophouse with a full bar (and a bartender who knew how to make her drinks by seeing a man at the bar earlier who had a proper Moscow Mule in a copper mug.) and we enjoyed it, even if we were expecting something a step down and not a step up (husband saw an old menu (or maybe a lunch menu) and while a little surprised, we still enjoyed dinner immensely.)

The price was pushing three stars price wise but that was with wine and beer with dinner - but no appetizer or dessert. I'm sure if we'd had an appetizer and dessert it would be closing in on $100 (and would if I had ordered a dinosaur / tomahawk ribeye)

So if you want an excellent dinner and can afford to splurge a little, I'd suggest such. And ask for Nicky. She'll hustle her bustle on getting your meal out to you in quick order and do it with a smile...

SUCH A CUTE PLACE the atmosphere is beautiful- we were really hopeful for the food, but I can’t say we like it as much. We got the chicken wings as an app; salmon, pork ribeye, and the prime rib and chicken tenders kids meal. Our overall complaint would be that the meals and sides all needed salt. The celery on our wings plate was old, you can tell at a glance. I ordered the pork ribeye with Gouda grits and mushrooms. The chop while tender was mildly burnt on one side, our mushrooms were room temp and the grits tasted as if it was only Gouda and grits, that is to say no butter or salt; it had chunks of grit clumps throughout. The side salads did look really good, and smelled good but the croutons were stale. My husband had the asparagus with the prime rib. The asparagus was oily, and looked almost like spinach when it came out- a bit stringy. The prime ribs lacked flavor- the juice that comes out with prime ribs is usually so flavorful, but it left much to be desired compared to dining experiences at other restaurants in the same town. I got a bite of my husbands and it was difficult to chew. The chicken tenders were the only thing that came out steaming- but it was very reminiscent of gas station chicken fingers. Our server was cordial- I couldn’t tell how many tables she had since we were in a small section, but to say she was attentive might be a stretch. When the bill came she said “who’s the special person?” And literally put the bill on the table in front of my MIL, turned and left in about 2 seconds. Now- I do understand that this is only the second day the location has been open since a lightning strike a few weeks back. It doesn’t seem like an acceptable amount of time to excuse the issues we had; I have to wonder how much of what we ate was old stock that needed to be used. But take the review for what it is- an honest recollection of our experience on their second evening open after some time closed.

We didn’t bother our server with our issues as We were already very hungry, by the time the server came back around 15 minutes after we started eating, it was pretty moot to do anything, as we just kept eating. I’m the sort that LOVES to bring home leftovers for the next day, but I was eating to avoid taking any home. I hope our experience was just a fluke, can I can’t say we will come back to find out...

Our initial impression was a warm, welcoming steakhouse with a casual atmosphere. Our server was prompt and courteous. We were seated in a corner of a room with six tables, with one table occupied by 7 guests.

My wife and I placed our order along with an appetizer and salad. These arrived in a short while along with warm yeast tolls. The smoked salmon on toast was very good, the salads were a mix of greens and fresh. While we were beginning our salad, two tables emptied and then shortly reset with new guests.

We observed the large table requested the manager fir an issue. They complained about the food and how they had to send all their orders back to the kitchen. Their waitress was very professional and served them well. They also were consuming a few bottles of wine. The manager arrived (actually the owner) and allowed them to vent, apologized but didn't comp them anything.

We struck up a conversation with the table next to us who complemented on how well the owner handled the situation. The guest spoke with the owner and also complemented him directly how well he handled the situation.

By this time over and hour had passed since we had arrived and placed our order. We were getting a little anxious. The table that came in a half hour after we were sat received their meal first. Then the table we conversed with were served their meal. By this time my wife was a bit lived and asked the manager what was going on. A few minutes later we were finally served.

I ordered the 10 Oz prime rib with mixed veggies. The restaurant upgraded to a 16 Oz. My wife ordered beef tips with candied carrots. The prime rib was cooked perfect, tender and well seasoned. Her meal was done well and she had leftovers. No problem with the food.

Turns out our food was late because the large table created a stir in the kitchen, so much so that the chef cleared all tickets from the line up for the entire room. Thankfully the owner made things right with us by only charging us for the appetizer. We didn't ask for the comp, but we're very thankful.

Will we go back? Probably. The food was very good, wait staff attentive. The owner was taking a beating this night. This was a rare case of one group of rude people ruining the meal for several...
