Lake Burton Cafe The Last of The Dives — Restaurant in Georgia

Friends and family and my 4 month old shih tzu puppy had a great day at Tallulah Gorge park. We spent the day there and left near sundown. In a hurry we searched dog friendly restaurants near and this restaurant by reviews and pictures seemed to be the best option by pictures of food. We were a group of 5 with 3 adults and 2 children that wanted pizza who were hungry for dinner. When we stepped in the place it didn’t look child friendly at all, so I asked about my puppy who was in a carry bag and they said no dogs allowed. After being very distraught because home is all the way in Atlanta with hungry children and unfamiliar with the area we drove 20 minutes from the park out of our way… They suggested the porch area which we weren’t prepared to sit outside in the cold and dark with ash trays we decided to leave, we were not feeling the vibe for our situation. We spoke to the owner about it being cold outside with the children and she was very firm about no dogs allowed. Had a great time, arrived about 50 minutes before closing the people were lively when we entered everyone having a good time staff were really nice, I got the chicken plate everything tasted very good, only problem was one of the employees showed up out of nowhere apparently didn't know how to park and parked right behind our car about 5ft away blocking it in having multiple spots available stayed for like 15 minutes but finally left, it was extremely stupid but other than that everything else was amazing, owner is always nice and I usually have a great time every...

Two friends and myself stopped by after leaving river for a quick to go order near closing time.The waitress was great and enthusiastic although it was close to closing.The cook preparing our to go order Miss Amy Love Was absolutely outstanding with service, time and personal.
