COUNTRY CORNER KITCHEN in Ellijay, Ga. This location had me excited because their men looks great and I was thinking that it probably had that small country/friendly feel along with some good food. They have a fun menu for both breakfast and lunch but I went over early morning and arrived there around 8AM. Although the building is small they do a very good job of making the most of the space they have, with several tables and high chairs where space is available. Inside does have a country feel with the wood walls and decorations everywhere, it looks like a fun spot. I ordered a CUBAN BREAKFAST SANDWICH and a CHICKEN BREAKFAST BURRITO because I wanted to taste their chicken. The cuban sandwich was good because the bread felt crispy and fresh and the bacon gave it that strong taste but the eggs, ham and cheese seemed to be overpowered by the mayo on the sandwich, all I tasted was mayo... good thing I like mayo! If you don't like mayo... you better ask for no mayo. The Chicken burrito was wrapped well and came with some type of hot sauce. unfortunately the chicken had no flavor and I wasn't a fan of the sauce because it was too spicy without much flavor. The staff was polite but didn't feel friendly, definitely not what I expected. Everyone was kind of quiet and maybe in a bad mood? You order your food over the counter and are given a number to go sit down and wait. The food came out fairly quickly but the plate just gets set on your table, don't expect a "anything else" type of service. Maybe a little less mayo on the cuban and some seasoning on the chicken along with a smile here or there would make it all better? I was disappointed but their lunch menu does look good so if i'm in the area again, I'll have to give their cuban sandwich a try. My favorite part was the ride there and the ride back home... so many amazing views and roads to enjoy, clears the mind and helps you focus on "what will I order" questions!! Have you been here before? Is their lunch good? Let me know!! Roli's Rating: Service: 5/10, I expect a lot when it comes to good service and unfortunately this COUNTRY CORNER KITCHEN didn't do it for me. Drinks are served behind the counter so if you want a refill you'll have to ask. The food does come out fairly quickly so there are no long waits for food. A friendly smile and staff in the future could help set the mood for the food and improve with the dining experience Price: 10/10, Breakfast or lunch, you can easily spend less than $10 for a full meal Location and Parking: 6/10, They are located in Ellijay so chances are you'll have to drive no matter where you live. Take advantage of this, take some back roads and enjoy the scenery. Parking is plentiful since they are next to a VALERO gas station Cleanliness: 7/10, Most tables seemed clean. It took some time before the table next to me was cleaned up Health Rating: A (97) Roli Overall Rating: 5/10, Worth the try if you're in the area. Their menu options plus cost to eat are worth the stop Roli's Recommendations CUBAN BREAKFAST SANDWICH
Edit: I was notified that the breakfast sandwich didn't have mayo, it had cheese!!! I've never confused mayo and cheese before...

I know my daughter‘s like French toast and I’m someone who’s loved French toast for every corner of the world and like to try different things and thought I would give this a shot, they actually deep fry their French toast here with cinnamon and powdered sugar and so I was looking forward to something different, when I went to take the first bite it just taste burnt to me…. I didn’t want to say anything to see how my daughters did and then my 14-year-old girl just kinda looks at me and puts down the fork and says she’s good, she likes to eat, and loves French toast, but this was an exception…. Belgian waffle was good and the cinnamon roll was good… I had not planned on leaving a review until, who I believe owner is, came up to me and said so what did you guys think of the French toast and I responded with, just kind of tasted burnt to me and then she got offended, and said nobody’s ever said that to me and we just changed out the oil, I said that’s OK. it just kinda taste burnt to me. It was just my opinion and then she just walked off.…. I own 30 short term rental properties in six states and I’m OK with negative feedback, I just see if there’s something I can learn from it and if it’s an out layer, then I just don’t worry about it and continue doing what I do, I hope that the owner just takes this piece of advice … Don’t get offended when you ask...
Read moreWe spent a long weekend in Ellijay and wanted a good breakfast before our group of four headed back home. The Corner Country Kitchen was rated #1 on TripAdvisor and Yelp, so we decided to go there. There were no customers when we arrived, and the welcoming staff handed us the menus and explained their process: Place your order at the register, and they'll bring it to you when it's ready. As we perused the menu, another group arrived, so we got in line. We ordered, paid, and sat back down. Arnette helped me get my tea ready and brought out half and half to top it off and poured more in another cup for refills. I sat back down, and our food already started arriving. Several other groups had arrived and the place was full. Arnette took all of the orders at the register, delivered everyone's meals, charged with everyone, and made sure everyone was happy and satisfied with their meals. All in our group enjoyed what they ordered. When I started to get my second cup of tea, Arnette came back to do it for me. When we left, we were wished well and safe travels. Overall, the smiling staff were very welcoming, the service was EXCELLENT, the food was good and delivered quickly, and the prices were very reasonable. This will definitely be on my list if we happen to be back or near...
