The Dinner Bell restaurant in Flintstone, Georgia is now closed for the “unforeseeable future” due to a fire. The fire occurred in the kitchen, December 11, 2024. Walker County Fire and Rescue responded to the scene. Reports say two people were inside at the time of the fire, but were able to make it out ok. The Dinner Bell posted a statement on Facebook, stating: As most of you have heard, there was a fire at The Dinner Bell tonight. Please note, we will be closed for the unforceeable future until details get figured out. We were not there when the fire started. Everyone is safe. Just in shock. Please keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this situation. We will keep you all updated as we learn more.

I travel the state as a safety instructor. Was here about two years ago and had the best meatloaf ever. (Don't tell Mom). Returned to have it again yesterday but now they only serves it on Sundays. Had chicken fried steak instead and it was fantastic! Can't speak for the entire menu but this is a fine place ran by wonderful good people! I am never disappointed.

We stopped here for breakfast on our 20th wedding anniversary trip to Lookout Mountain. This place feels like home. They had Andy Griffith on the TV, the waiter was friendly, and the food was delicious! We would recommend this place 10 times over! ❤️

My 10yo daughter and I stopped by in between school pickups. We like to try new places, and a welcome mat that says "Grandma & Grandpa" let us know that our southern ancestors were smiling upon us. (NOTE: We were so enchanted by the welcome mat that we did not notice the cash only signs. The store next door has an ATM 😉)

The food was so good! We had a chicken fried steak, and the meatloaf. Both were incredible! The meatloaf red sauce is so different from anything I've tried before. I will definitely be going back for more of that! The country-style veggies were just like Mamaw made. I can't rave enough about the food! Then, surprise dessert... Bless their hearts. I almost cried.

But, what really put this Mom&Pop over the top were the people. Both the staff and the customers (one of whom let me know that we are family now) were so friendly, welcoming, and delightful that we almost felt like we needed to give hugs on our way out. We WILL be going back as often...

Great food and amazing staff and facilities. It would get 5 stars if they accepted debit cards. I am a disabled American veteran and my money is on debit card. I sldom have cash. My first time I wasn't aware of the business hours and was minutes from closing. They treated me like family and I had one of the best hotdogs in the tristate region, hands down. I plan on eating there on a regular basis. This was the review entered just one day before this patron was killed tring to stop a robbery in Rossville. Our hearts go out to his community. He had no family and was laid to rest with full...
