I wish I could give it more, but with today’s service I can’t. The customer service was terrible, but I can’t say it was for all the workers, just the waiter we had. I want to say it was just her attitude, but she got ALL the orders wrong at our table, when we informed her, we weren’t aggressive nor demanding, we just asked if she could fix the orders. She immediately protested and argued that...”that was what you ordered” (“so the whole table ordered the wrong thing”🤔...okay) I can understand miscommunication or a simple mistake, and if so you come to a conclusion or options. Sadly, that wasn’t the case, and I didn’t want to make a show, so we just said it was okay and ate something we didn’t want. It gets better....after that she wouldn’t even come to our table nor even knowledge us, so we stated to get up and that’s when she gave us the ticket (she even added an extra plate we didn’t ordered, but we didn’t say anything) I paid...but never got my change back, I guess she thought we weren’t going to tip her so SHE JUST KEPT THE MONEY! And again we didn’t say anything. We ended up going to IHOP since no one really ate anything because it wasn’t what we wanted.
Let me clarify one thing tho, I don’t wish to ruin Waffle House’s reputation, nor did I take the time to let my anger out. Instead I hope Waffle House sees this and works on bettering their customers service, I live near by and enjoyed going here, and yes there’s been time where I was treated like an actual customer, but very recently that has all changed. For some reason every worker there seem to always have a bad day and takes it out on the customers. I recently visited Waffle House, and I must say that I am extremely disappointed with my experience. The lack of communication from the staff regarding the busy nature of the establishment resulted in significant inconveniences and wasted time. As a customer, I believe it's essential for businesses to keep their patrons informed to avoid unnecessary frustration.
Upon entering the restaurant, it didn’t LOOK busy at all, as I am ONLY a customer I wouldn’t know what they are dealing with. However, there was NO INDICATIONS or WARNINGS from the staff about the potential delays or any measures in place to manage the situation effectively. This lack of communication led to long waiting times and a significant waste of my valuable time.
I understand that restaurants can get busy, as I too work in the food and restaurant industry so I'm willing to be patient if I am informed upfront about the situation. But in this case, the staff failed to set proper expectations, leaving customers like myself in the dark about the wait times and the overall situation. This lack of transparency resulted in frustration and disappointment.
It is crucial for Waffle House, or any establishment for that matter, to prioritize effective communication during busy periods. This can be done through clear signage, verbal communication from staff, or even updates on social media platforms. By doing so, customers can make informed decisions and plan accordingly, saving both their time and frustration.
In conclusion, I cannot stress enough how dissatisfied I am with the poor communication and wasted time at Waffle House. I strongly urge the management to address this issue promptly and implement better communication practices during “busy periods”.    Read moreService was absolutely terrible. The waitress barely understood us, completely mixed up the order, and forgot multiple things. She refilled a drink once then left. Twice we asked for refills, after we finally got her over, and she never brought them. It took over 10 minutes just to add one extra waffle. She went and sat down multiple times, just staring at her phone. Then the extra waffle was packed to go when we asked to eat it there as well. I waited five more minutes for a takeout container. We were the only people there.
Then when we went to pay, both very upset. She took his card, handed him the receipt to sign, and made me wait to pay my half. She then proceeded to hover, looking directly at the receipt as he went to sign it. Just staring, watching what he wrote while I waited. Absolutely garbage service, rude, and then acted like we owed her a tip. Will never go there again while she is working.
The only good thing was the food, which was right when she actually told the cook the correct order. He was very friendly, and even flagged me down and brought me the to-go container I forgot on the way out.
