Monument Grill — Restaurant in Gering

For someone who frequents there often is waa a very bad experience. We arrived and were the only table left to order. All other tables were either paying or finishing their meal. Our waitress never introduced herself, tall female with dark hair. Took our drink order , gave us our drinks and went about cleaning up. After quit awhile we asked about our food she joked "I know let me check" She came back to report it was almost ready. I asked for the side salad while we were waiting . That took awhile and she apologized by saying it took awhile to chop the lettuce. We finished the salad and drinks , still no meal. When we asked her for an update she said it is taking a long time for the French fries to cook. After another while we asked again and she just kept apologizing for the wait. At this point we just wanted to leave. We asked for a manager and she said Stephanie's is busy socializing. WOW! we asked for our bill, thinking she would comp the drinks and not an offer or anything to have us come back. We spend a great deal of money there on a weekly basis and have no plans on returning due to how we were treated. The experience was horrible to say the least! I’ll start with the food my 3 of us got burgers and the beef was dry, cold and tough. I got a crab Rangoon burger there was a cold thick block of cream cheese. My other friend got a grilled salmon salad. The fish was cold and raw. We sent it back and the waitress told us it’s pre cooked and there is no way if it’ll raw. It was clearly raw!!! When the new salad came out my friend had kissed her hunger and just wanted to leave!! A group of us went in on a Friday night, and they were fairly busy, definitely expected that. Service was okay but we had to request drinks and silverware, napkins, refills, sides, etc. over and over again! SLOW! Took way too long to get anything back to our table including food and simply refills. Food was cold! Had to send back 4 plates out of 10 for being cold, not correct, etc. Special requests (such as no cheese on salad and dressing on the side) were stated they were done but actually were not.
