Boondocks — Restaurant in Gilman

My Husband and I stopped in, a friend recommended we should try there deep fried hot dogs. We walked in and were greeted by at least four people, love the look in the place very clean, staff super friendly. We sat at the bar, server was very helpful, she gave us menus told us about certain items. Great choices to choose from, decided to try the fried pickles was not disappointed only thing is I wish we would have had a few more pickles and they would have tasted exceptionally better if they had homemade ranch. I just got the deep-fried hot dog and fries and my husband got the slaw dawg with the jalapeno poppers. He said his slaw dog was very good and I told him that my hot dog was also good. The fries they gave me, I don't know if it was the large or small order but if it's the small order I'd hate to see what their large order is. The poppers had cheese instead of cream cheese which I think my husband said he would have preferred the cream cheese but I honestly think that's what he was expecting so it just kind of threw him off a little. I told him what if they did the cheese and the cream cheese mixture with a poppers he said that would have been excellent. Their drink prices reasonable and if we're ever around Gilman again we are definitely coming back. And I think next time we'll probably try a steak we saw them bringing steaks out, they're about 2 inches thick if not bigger and smelled and looked amazing. I would definitely recommend this place, so if you're ever around you should stop in and give it a try, cause we will. Thanks again Boondocks can't wait...

The food at this restaurant is really quite good. My burger had excellent flavor; I wasn't expecting that & it was a nice surprise. Their iced tea was not very good, though. It was a little unnerving having a dozen leather-clad bikers turn around & size me up when I walked through the door but I was completely ignored afterwards. The man who brought my food was very attentive & friendly while the waitress hung out at the bar talking & not bringing me a refill on the distasteful iced tea. We will never go to this bar again!!!! We were there Saturday afternoon August 7th 2021, a few of us ordered food and the rest of our group was told the could not order anything for at least 30 minutes, we waited over half an hour for our food but had to leave because the rest of our party still couldn't order, I asked for a refund and the bartender refused to refund my money, telling me it's ONLY been 33 minutes, and our food would be ready within 10 minutes I informed her we were riding and couldn't carry the food, at first she still refused finally got my money back, after a few minutes more, BTW the food STILL wasn't...
