The Cabin At Judy Creek — Restaurant in Glen Carbon

The Cabin at Judy Creek is one of those places that just feels right the moment you walk in. Whether you are heading out for a laid-back date night, catching up with friends, or just want a chill spot to grab a drink after work, this place nails it.

First off, the vibe is awesome. The building has a cozy, rustic look with tons of warm wood and soft lighting. Its big enough to feel lively but still has that tucked-away, hidden gem feel. If the weathers good, grab a table outside the patio is beautiful and perfect for a long evening of hanging out.

The food? Totally hits the spot. Their smoked meats and sandwiches are next-level, and the sides arent just filler everything is fresh and full of flavor. The appetizers are great for sharing (bacon-fat popcorn is a must-try), and the entrees come in generous portions thatll actually fill you up.

Drinks are another win. They keep a solid craft beer list and pour some excellent cocktails. The bartenders know their stuff and are happy to help you find something new.

And the staff ties it all together friendly, quick, and genuinely happy to have you there.

Bottom line: great food, great drinks, great people. Five stars, no question The Cabin is the kind of place youll keep...

Their bartenders are apparently allowed to act however they want and treat x-employees however they want.

We frequent here about every other week, no issues, tip well (30%+).

Instant vendetta-like treatment upon walking in the door with a friend of whom had never visited The Cabin + an x-employee this past Saturday. We were inconveniently greeted by the bar manager/bartender at this time. She (bartender) said she wouldn’t serve the non-driver x-employee this time (again been going there 2 years) but served myself (the driver and DoD veteran) + our friend. She caused and initiated a scene. She told my friend to leave of which there was 0 conflict at the time. By doing bartender’s actions, she publicly embarrassed all of us (as though us other 2 were gonna stay with non-driving friend) and actually escalated the whole situation plus environment.

How ridiculous!

Female Owner had the same attitude.

Great spot to chill outside. Live music on the weekends, great food and better drinks 🍸. About 8 tables so get there early, order food when you get there as the wait may be up to an hour Check the menu online prior so you'll know what you want (yes, for sandwiches). Pleasant staff as there's just just a few of them, service is taxing but it's COVID so enjoy the fact that they're open and you're getting out for a bite and beverages. The waitress took the food order for three sandwiches without writing it down, i was impressed until she forgot one order. With the kitchen so backed up and short staffed, the table finished their meal before the lost sammy came out. That lost a star with this review unfortunately.
