Big Daddy’s at The Village Inn — Restaurant in Glendale

Been there twice, both times I’ve ordered the pastrami dip, both times I haven’t gotten what the menu states is on or comes with the sandwich. First time I came at dinner, didn’t get the garlic fries it says it comes with, Second time I get mushrooms in the sandwich and no au jus. I’m not saying the food is bad, I’m just confused why both time I’ve gone there its never been right. And yes i did say something the first time because I was dining in, now the second time I didn’t cause it was takeout, didn’t feel the need to drive 20 mins back from work during lunch. Good food, servings, i.e. Fry's, are small. Couple runs by themselves and often not enough to get the food ordered, especially on a tight lunch break. Unfortunately, they have added junk fee of 65 cents to credit card purchase. Not posted prior to ordering, that I saw. That works out to about 5 per cent!!! Lunch with tip and drink, ranges $15-$20. Lots of other options available in this price range.

Credit card usage fees shouldn't be paid, especially since 90 percent of businesses get paid that way. This junk fee policy is indicative of poor administration and deceptive business management. Really disappointing, as I was hoping they would succeed as a good lunch place is needed...

Jenna knows customer service! Come on in and enjoy a delicious breakfast. These people are fun and will greet you with a smile. The cook here is not afraid to help his waitress. The waitress is not afraid to help her cook. I saw her in the back not afraid of doing dishes. She washes her hands and sings b-o-l-o-g-n-a! Thank you! I had a blast!
