My wife and I travel and eat out at many different options from Mom and Pop Diners to high end offerings , and we are sorry to say that we were so very disappointed with our meals at the Glenwillow Grille. My wife ordered a side salad as an up sale with her meal and it was awful. Limp greens that looked like they had been sitting out all day. They were returned to the Kitchen. She ordered the tenderloin tips cooked medium. They were $ 30 and to say they were overcooked is being optimistic. They were cooked beyond well done and were tough and chewy , but worst of all they were absolutely flavorless !! I order fish at almost every opportunity and so I was happy to see that they offer an Old Man and The Sea Seafood Platter which I ordered for $ 23. Nothing special here , just plain filets and some out of the box breaded shrimp laid out on top of a bed of overcooked french fries. Red Lob they are not !! The worst part was their House Made Tartar Sauce and Cole Slaw. Both were absolutely devoid of any flavor. I mean , how do you make Tartar Sauce or Cole Slaw with no life or flavor ?? Wow were we surprised by this very bad meal experience. To say we will not be returning is an understatement. We will continue to spend our dinner dollars at a very nice INN...
Read moreThe Grille used to be very special to us and 5-6 years ago it was amazing. We had our first date and first dinner after getting engaged at the nearby gazebo there. We even had our engagement pictures there as well as our rehearsal dinner and many family dinners and meetings there as well. Once ownership changed, everything went downhill.
We had not been there in at least 6 months (maybe longer), and thought we'd have dinner there last night. We always get the lobster bisque--- it's now no longer available as a cup, only a bowl (too much for me) and costs $7. It was lukewarm and was starting to separate (yuck). Our meals were OK, but what used to cost $9 or $10 a year ago is now $14. Plus, I'm not sure how they managed to make half of my sandwich lukewarm and half nuclear hot.
Our server left a lot to be desired. She came over promptly, but my husband had to tell her three times what he ordered because she didn't bother to write anything down. She came back once or twice-- they weren't busy and we saw the other servers 3-4 times more than we saw her.
Needless to say, we won't be going back there anytime soon-- 2 sodas, 2 bowls of mediocre soup, a chicken caesar salad and a brisket sandwich cost us $60...

Update: we were there June 14th 2025 and we were not happy. The brownie cheesecake what's a good enough as far as taste and size for $10 charge. I had the chicken Portobello wrap and it literally had very little flavor. I added a little salt to it to give it some taste. We ordered two glasses of coke and neither one had Coke syrup in them. Tim or waiter took the glasses back and came back to asked if we wanted anything else because they didn't have any Coke syrup to fix the issue. My husband got the haystack burger and there was way too much honey bourbon sauce on it had to scrape it all off and put it on the plate. I didn't have any onion rings so we had to settle for French fries. And the greeter at the door didn't even say hello, just said do you have a reservation. Everyone was confused because we were never asked that before. after some back and forth with the conversation she finally offered us a seat on the patio. This truly was our worst visit there. There was absolutely no compensation on the check for any of the issues. We...
