Maybe it's because we didn't order the right things, or we were there for an early dinner, but it wasn't the best. Had gone here one other time, and it was also just-okay. Last time I had the vodka chicken - it was good at first, nice portion, but after awhile, the red pepper was overpowering. Tonight we got the pulled pork - nice portion size, but the sauce was only on the bun, and the pork was very dry. We had to ask for a cup of bbq sauce. I got the bbq ribs - I don't think they were fresh - we were there early, so not like they should have been sitting... they should have been lean, juicy, tender. Sure they fell off the bone, but that was because they were overcooked, chewy and dry. The bbq sauce was baked in either because they just reheated it or because it was sitting for a long time - after awhile, I just was getting mainly salty flavor instead of bbq. Maybe I should have gone with the filet mignon, but seriously - $24 for a petite steak and a small side of vegetables?! For that kind of money, the salad SHOULD have been included, or at least 2 sides with bread or pasta. Waitress didn't refill my water. Some other waitress gave me water at the end of our meal in passing from a warm pitcher. The meal was saved by my dessert of chocolate mousse, which was very satisfying. Maybe I'll try their breakfast or lunch next time, but so far, their dinner choices are very few and are not...
Read moreEver make reservations for Thanksgiving instead of doing it yourself? Well, my family ate at the Glyndon grill. I have to say they were exceptionally well staffed and wherever you walked through the restaurant, every single employee had something nice to say to you and we felt so welcome and appreciated. They had the regular kinda Thanksgiving dinner as a special. I've done this now for the past three years. The last two at other places had over cooked, dried out turkey and everything else was mediocre. I rhino they must have made the platters in advance. The third try at "the grill" was outstanding! The seating was quick, our waitress, Mia was so professional, patient and her attitude made this an event. She had a permanent smile and great conversation. You can't ask for more than that. If management is reading this, please give Mia a raise...lol! Seriously, my wife had the turkey platter and I based on thinking the food might be like my last two experiences chickens out and tried the Mahi as a main course. Had a fried calamari appetizer and I have to get it every time I go there, it's so light and tasty. M6 wife's Thanksgiving dinner was incredible. Everything was better than I expected and I'm looking forward to next year. Kudos to the entire staff. You made my family's Thanksgiving a...
Read moreWe were traveling through Baltimore on our way from Nashville to Philly, and we met up a local friend at Glyndon Grill based on his recommendation.
He got stuck at work, so we ordered an appetizer of the steak skewers and a beer. They have several local craft beers on tap. I asked to try a couple (Italian lager and IPA), but didn’t like either of them, so I went with a Stella bottle. They even had the Stella branded glasses to pour the beer into.
The appetizer included 5 skewers of tasty chunks of beef. The meat was tender and delicious. It came with a peanut glaze, but we asked for it on the side.
When my buddy arrived, we ordered some burgers. My son and my buddy both had the bacon Swiss cheeseburger with mushrooms on a brioche bun. I had a plain burger. All three came with crispy string fries. The burgers were delicious and all three of us finished the whole thing.
Anna was very attentive the entire visit. Even though my buddy was 30 mins late, she never rushed us to order or finish our dinner.
Highly recommend visiting Glyndon Grille when you’re in the Baltimore area. They also have a nice bar and an outdoor patio when the...
