Diver Down — Restaurant in Golconda

05/11/24--- Been to Diver Down about five times since my first review that is below. They never disappoint. Service is always good, the staff is very friendly and the food delicious. I always have their Coconut Shrimp. The Pina colada sauce is amazing.

Our first time stopping in at Diver Down.It has been on our list of places to try. We were very impressed with the service and the food. Our waitress Chelsea was a delight, very friendly personality, and courteous. Our order was taken and promptly served. We had the coconut shrimp with pina-colada sauce, salad with poppyseed dressing and fries. The salad was probably one of the best we've had from a restaurant. Everything was fresh and crisp, great serving size. The poppyseed dressing had a great flavor, not to sweet. The coconut shrimp was cooked perfectly, great flavor, paired with the pina-colada sauce was a bonus. The fries were cooked perfectly.The prices very reasonable. This was our first visit here and we went with family. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was good. They were missing several menu items such as stuffed mushrooms, their own french dressing, and one other item I can't think of at the moment. The food we ordered started out good, fried mushroom appetizer was hot and tasty, salad was fresh with leafy greens, but then the main dish I had was a bed of soggy rice with overcooked salmon on top and 3 potato wedges, yes 3?!?! The restaurant was hot although we were seated by the kitchen. The server did tell us they were having supply issues so maybe that's the missing items. Yes, we will try it again but this time an early Friday evening visit instead of late Saturday evening. Maybe we will have better luck on menu item availability. Also will attempt to sit at the front of the place to avoid the heat. Prices were reasonable but prep needs...

We went down for my daughter's 14th birthday and Father's day because she had mentioned that she had gotten some really good cheesy ranch bacon fries at her last visit with relatives so I said it's been a while but it's always been good so let's go. My wife and daughter ordered the cheesy ranch bacon fries and my son and me ordered cheese burgers and fries. He ordered just cheese on his fries and got fully loaded cheese bacon fries which he wouldn't eat and my wife and daughter didn't get bacon on there fries along with them getting there meals 20 min before me and my son did so them trying not to eat without us their food got cold. So when the waitress finally brought mine and my sons meals I requested Togo trays and stressed to her our discrepancy and she never offered a discount or refund. That's what we got for keeping local instead of going to tequilas like my daughter originally requested. ...
