What to say about this place_ OMG!! we arrived and were nearly promptly seated. We emediately notice signs all around; on the walls and in the worn out menus of EXTRA FEES. We noticed that everything on menus seemed quite high in price; and you guessed it. If you share a plate_ they FEE you some more_OMG! Our waiter FINALLY came back and took our order ( we weren't even going to mess with sodas at about $4/glass.) We didn't even get asked if we wanted any additional drinks or such. Our meals took not too long_not before our waiter came back by and asked if my wife had ordered the Mexican pizza OR a Mexican salad. I had the LUNCH "chicken salad" which was $1 cheaper then the DINNER exact "chicken salad". and as said my wife had there rendition of the Mexican pizza . My salad had allot more chicken. The salad under it_First time for everything; it was not that appetizing honestly. Chicken was thin and smartly dried out and not allot of lettuce. My wifes Mexican pizza she said she did t feel even had bottom crust, just a bunch of ingredients with a burn sided crust over top; it was the sorriest looking mexican pizza i have ever seen!. Once done, we waited and waited, and waited, and WAITED for our bill. We finally had to flag down our waiter as he passed just for him to get us our bill. Once we got that then we waited and waited some more for him to go back and forth another dozen times past us before I finally held up the bill booklet with my debit card in it just to get his attention so he'd take it and we could finally get OUT of that place. Getting our final bill we see they also tacked on... you got it! another FEE for using a card. (About $1) We did not leave a tip, between our entry wait time, food wait time and bil/exit wait time I'd say that was roughly 3x the time we even spent actually even eating. I do (((NOT))) reccomend this place. I don't even feel our meals were worth the $30 paid. My thought is they are struggling and about to go under. The place is older, seats all worn out and lost bottom support, menus very worn and aged and atmosphere attire just so jalapodated it's sorry!

This is the best Mexican food! The chicken or camerones la crema with warm corn tortillas is what I crave...large portions, hot chips and always good, no matter what's being served. I always ask for a less spicy salsa, because it's a little too hot for me. They have a senior menu for lighter appetites, but I always order a full meal with beans and rice, a little expensive at around $20, but I take it home for another meal. Seriously, worth it. The restaurant doesn't have steps into it, so we've taken my parents there. Good location, right off the exit, and they play Mexican music. The service is good...sometimes excellent, sometimes not as much because they get very busy. We've only had one kind of grouchy woman bring the water, but maybe she was having a bad day. Doesn't really matter, because this is our favorite place to eat in Goldendale. There is a small charge now for paying with a card, so we bring cash. I tell everyone driving by to eat here. You can walk in and usually not wait long, and won't be disappointed. Excellent food.

First time visiting Ayutla's. Upon walking in, we were immediately greeted and were seated quickly. They have a large selection of Mexican food dishes, so it took us a few minutes to decide. We were provided with chips and salsa, along with our drink selections. Once we ordered, it seemed like only minutes before our food was brought to us. I had ordered the chicken with MOLLE sauce, served with rice and beans. It was very good. Our groups other choices were very good also. Service was great. Prices were about what most can expect. I can definitely recommend Ayutla's.

We went for an early dinner on Saturday 5/1 at about 4:30ish. The place wasn't busy at all, no wait. The food was good and the service was OK until the end. Toward the end they didn't ask if we wanted a refill of our drinks, didn't ask if we wanted more food or if we wanted dessert. At some point they walked by and placed the check folder on the table which I didn't notice as I was talking to the other person at the table. They came back to pickup the check folder and saw I hadn't put my card in yet at which point they stated they had people waiting and needed my table. So I gave my card, paid the bill and we left. The time stamp on my credit card receipt was 5:09pm. So about 40 minutes. When we left some who were there before us were still there, and there were only 2 small parties waiting for a table. There was only two us and we had just finished our meal. It wasn't like we were a large group hanging out long after the meal just taking up space. If we were then I could kinda get it. But a party of 2 who was there maybe 40 minutes? Come on. I've never been pushed out of a restaurant because a small few...

We moved here 6 months ago and have really loved Ayutla's food. Anything with shrimp and any veggies is to die for.

I see their beans being mentioned, but in my opinion, they are just fine, but I don't go to any Mexican restaurant for the beans...do you? I go there for the main dish.

There are NOT huge portions, but I don't mind. I am full after I eat there, I don't bring home leftovers...though I really wish there were leftovers since it's delicious. It does not break the bank, they are not overpriced considering the freshness of their veggies and ingredients. If you want big portions and lame food, you'll have to look elsewhere.

As far as the waiters are concerned, we have been happy with how lightning fast they are and friendly but there are usually the two guys running the whole place, so they have a lot to do. The main guy (I forget his name) works most nights and has always taken good care of us. He makes a margarita and has it back out to the table in about 20 seconds.

This place is definitely worth a try if you live here. There aren't a lot of options and if you don't, you'll be...
