I’m really not one to complain about a restaurant unless something really bothers me. We ate at El Paso Mexican Restaurant in Princeton tonight. Bill and I got a Texas Fajita share plate. There was about 4 strips of steak 4 strips of chicken and maybe 5 shrimp in a tiny bed of green peppers and onions. They brought just one plate of rice and beans for us to split with portions for only one person. They charged me $33 and some change for that little bit of food. I wish I had taken a photo of it because I’m not exaggerating and I should have said something when when they brought the plate. I explained to her we get this same plate at other restaurants with way more food. And that we were only able to make three very small fajitas with the portion she gave us. I’m pretty sure that ticked her off. It seems to me they’re skimping on portions all while raising prices and that ain’t right.
When I asked the lady about the charge versus the portion she told me that was their price and that we got the correct size plate. I hate it to because we have always enjoyed their food and service.
I just feel a bit ripped off…I could have cooked my whole family fajitas for around that price, maybe that’s what I...
Read moreThe restaurant was pretty busy for dinner. The waiter that we had was very pleasant and did everything he could to make your dining experience pleasant. We never had to look around and wait for him to show up he was constantly checking on us. Atmosphere lost a point because it seemed a little dated. One row of boots were up on platforms that you had to step up onto so it was not convenient for the elderly or handicapped. The music was not too loud and the aroma of the food was so good. I have eaten here once before and it was pretty much the same with good food and good service. I felt prices were reasonable for this area. I wish I could give the waiter a personal thumbs up but we had a large table full of talking people and I was at the far end and didn't ask him his name. If you like your food very spicy be sure to ask for their hot spicy salsa. The regular table salsa is two watery and has chunks and they don't stick to the tortillas well nor...
Read moreI was unsure how the food would be because, well, it's attached to a gas station. But the manager at the ABC store next door said it was actually pretty good, so we went. The service was great since it wasn't busy (there was only one other family eating at the time); the server quickly replenished our water and salsa. The salsa tasted very fresh and delicious! The entrees were okay. I had the Texas fajitas -- the shrimp, beef, and chicken were cooked nicely, but the onions and green peppers were overly charred. My mom had a chimichanga with a chili rellano a la carte. They both were okay, but not great, and it didn't come with sides except for a little plop of refried beans. Another note to make is that they do not serve beer or alcohol. (It's hard to eat Mexican food without a margarita/beer!) Overall, I'd probably go...
