Golinda Country Store — Restaurant in Golinda

My whole family came up to this restaurant yesterday. Instead of driving into town from Robinson we drove out Golinda because we heard the burgers were really good. Apparently the owner is the one who took our order. She asked my aunt what she wanted then Rudely interrupted her and asked for her name for the order. Then when it was my turn to order, I went to tell her that I was getting the bill. She rudely stopped me and said “what’s your name” gave her my name and mentioned again that it was all under one bill. Told her what me and my kids wanted. My aunt came back and was trying to tell her she needed the Togo order of chicken fried steak the she order- for the gravy to be on the side. She completely ignored her and told my mom to keep ordering. Then again, Rudely asked my Mom what all she wanted on her grilled chicken sandwich. Got my mom so upset to the point to where she didn’t even want to finish placing her order. I asked the lady “why are you being so rude?” She looked at me dumb founded and said “I didn’t know I was being rude” if THATS how you treat your customers while your staff is watching behind you…they are going to think that’s okay to treat the guests that come through the exact same way, and it is not! I was so offended I will never use my hard earned money in that...

The new addition looks nice. However, the food has gone so far down hill. The service was rude and non existent. Use to tell everyone to come here, now....please stay away. The alcohol rules are so confusing. I got a beer from the cooler, was told by the cashier I had to go put it in a cup and drink it. Because it wasnt from the bar, across from the cooler?? Thought this was weird, but agreed.

The "owner" (do not think it was the owner bc she was rude and had no communication skills) told me it was not allowed and asked me to leave, very rudely. She didn't care her employee misinformed me, but was rather taking her anger out on my friends and I. She refused to give me my entire order, and would not refund me for what was left out.

Instead of just refunding the $3.20, yes that is all, she made a scene. She called the police emergency line, the sherrifs department, and sherrif himself (who was very cool, definitely voting for him). She wasted thousands of tax payer dollars bc she was having a bad day. The sherrif and his department apologized, but this business is horrible. Sad to see something fall so far. Will also be writing a BBB review. Thanks...

My husband's friend recommended this place. We drove about 30 minutes to there and met my in laws. The woman working the register on Sat Oct The 15th was extremely rude and short with us. As soon as she started taking our order you could just see how miserable she was. So after she brought us our order it was wrong. 3 of us ordered the steak finger baskets and one a chicken fried steak. She brought 2 plates of chicken strips. I decided to go ahead and take it. My father in law wanted to wait for his steak fingers. She got rude with all of us and told my father in law since you had a change up ill bring it out when it's done. We never changed our order it was wrong. The chicken strip and steak fingers were good. The make n cheese was plain. It's like buying the generic box of Mac n cheese at the store. After we were done she did apologize and said that 3 people called in that day. I do understand that but you can't take it out on your customers. And she knew she was wrong or she wouldn't...
