Unique Bar-B-Q Place — Restaurant in Goodwater

The BEST B-B-Q for 30(if not 50-75) miles 'round. This is a small "Dairy Delight" building that was renovated and is by no means "upscale" - but you would be missing out on the some serious delicious grub if you just passed them by! This place is perfect if you're alone or with the family. They have something for everyone - I believe they even have a soft serve ice cream machine! Speaking from experience, I know that they have excellent hamburgers and cheeseburgers with an array of different toppings and sides. The fries are crinkle cut and great! They also serve Corn Nuggets that are to die for, the sweet tea has always been on point, as far as the bbq is concerned they have small or large sandwiches in mild, mixed and hot. The mild is A++ and truly mild, the hot is HOT! and the mixed is still too hot for my taste but what you would expect. I have not had the bbq plate or hamburger steak but have been told more than once that neither choice will disappoint! You can call ahead if you know you are coming by cuz it takes awhile - but 💯% worth waiting for! The staff that works there (always the same waitress) is great not to mention - Super Sweet! The whole crew here does a absolute bang up job preparing good food for the Goodwater community and surrounding area. Though the food prep is a tad slow, it's completely offset by the quality and taste of the food. The speed is understandable though because this is a family run business with a very small kitchen and a lot of people eat here regularly. They constantly have call in orders and are normally very busy all day. Hint, the burgers are great and the chicken finger baskets are excellent! No dried up puny overcooked fingers here. This is a little place that I happen to run across and goodwater Alabama it really didn't seem like much and I stopped in to see what they had to offer turns out they had some of the best sausage and cheese biscuits that I have ever eaten Not only was the biscuits good but the lady behind the counter who took my order was one of the nicest people I have met since I have moved Alabama this world needs more people like her I plan on going back soon and trying out some more of their food give you guys...
