Tonight's dining experience was probably one of the worst I've ever had. Our waitress Chrissy was the biggest part of the problem. We sat and asked for peanuts which we were told they were out of. We then ordered a root beer and a mojito, the mojito tasted so awful, I had to send it back. Chrissy then told me she would make it herself. She then came back and said the problem was the mint and that it was out of season. You should probably not have it listed on your signature drinks list then. We also asked for water, which never came. My sister, her man and 2 kids then arrived. They ordered their drinks and again asked for water for the table, which again never came. My 9 yr old nephew ordered chicken nuggets and fries. Sweet potato fries were brought out. Chrissy informed us "that's what he asked for", which he absolutely did not. My sister also ordered mozzerella sticks and when they didn't come Chrissy responded with "I heard you ask for them, but I didn't think you really wanted them", then went further into explaining they aren't sticks, but squares, but if she still wanted them she would put them in. Also when my brother in-law put in his order of meatloaf, she informed us they were out of meatloaf, but it was in the oven but won't be available tonight. She stated that she thought she told us that when we got there. I later asked about my nephew's replacement fries and she said I didn't think he wanted them anymore. I then told her she was a horroble waitress, cause she was. She later came to the table to say Roland would be taking over our table and that she wasn't horrible and that in fact, she works there. She was agrumentive and really shouldn't be waitressing anywhere. Roland kindly came over brought us our bill and to-go boxes in a timely manner with efficiency. He was kind and apologetic. Overall the experience was horrible though and we will not be going back. Sadly the atmosphere is beautiful and the food and service used...

We tried AJ’s at its new location today, and not impressed or happy. Major lack of customer service from the managers end, bad cooks in the kitchen and slow service. The story below:

We were sat quickly outside on the patio, and our waitress didn’t see us for 15 minutes since we were close to the smoking section; no worries, it was busy, we get that. We get our drinks, his a black and tan, more black than tan, I got the blueberry mojito, barely any vodka in it, was not purple in color but clear. We both order Biker Burgers with bacon; his med-rare, no cheese, mine medium with cheese… This is where it all went wrong…

After almost 40 minutes our waitress comes back with 2x Biker Burgers with cheese, she apologizes and says she’ll have another one made quick, I take ā€˜his’ med-rare cheeseburger at this point. Not even 2 minutes later a runner returns with a burger, he looks it over and can see that it was just scraped off and refuses the plate. The runner responds, ā€œMy manager told me to do that, I’m sorry.ā€ Runner comes back and said the manager would come see us. Our waitress comes back over and asks what happened and is he sure he doesn’t want anything else, says the manager Mike was going to come over. He gets one more black and tan after almost an hour now.

Now to the burger that was eaten! It was well done and partially burnt when I was almost done with it, no flavor whatsoever. Bacon was WAY under cooked; onion rings were burnt, and fries were half well cooked and cold, and others were warm and soggy. We were then told the manager was too busy to come over... We paid $37 and change for 2 x black and tans, one blueberry mojito and a bacon Biker Burger. Our kind waitress got her fair tip since it wasn’t her fault, she was a champ.

I’ll try this place one more time, might change my review if it’s better. Hubby refuses to give them one more shot, and I’m a bit...

Wednesday night seafood night at ajs the first few times was great last 2 or 3 weeks the service was not good especially tonight . Service was terrible . Girl was very nice just didn't seem like she knew what she was doing . Took 4 times asking for water. At the table by the time we got it we were 3/4 eaydone with meal. 2 nd week in a row they ran out of raw bar stuff last week it was clams this week it was ckams., And oysters. That sucks on seafood night and we are talking about an hour maybe hour and 15 minutes into the time it starts 500. Our meals which we placed at the beginning , between salad and starters came out way too late like 45 minutrs to an hour after we ordered . Dinners were therefore very late . When they brought out the mussels they were like they had been sitting som where else the whole time . Although they were pretty good they were cold . Not happy with service or the time the kitchen was able to put the food out. Have been going here for over a year steadily but have to give it second thoughts . Food is usually very good and most of the wait staff I'd good but last few weeks to be honest have to give it a failing grade. Don't know if it's the help or if they just are do busy but they really need to fix this quickly . It will be awhile before I can go back there.and that is sad ecsusr I thought my wife and I found our comfy place be it by ourselves or with kids and grandkids . But we need to rethink this . Very fudsapointed...

I've enjoyed many great meals from AJ's over the years, both from their old basement location and the new building. Being out of state for four years I was excited to revisit one of my favorite places for a good meal. I'm sad to say the quality and quantity has fallen DRASTICALLY!! First went for their steak night with a friend, the portions were small, not cooked correctly and you can't sub sides... Ok, it's a special, things happen, no problem. However I went today for lunch and ordered the clam strips which had always been a favorite of mine. The large meaty pile of clams I'd once enjoyed is now a meager pinch of crusty bits. The frozen ones at the store are more appetizing (not to mention you get a lot more!). Sad that for the second time I found myself trying to fill up on peanuts after a very overpriced and underwhelming meal. Won't be recommending them anymore. Pic shows the largest strip I was given....just sad.

Very disappointed with my overall experience. Ordered a bacon chicken wrap. It was slopped together and was drenched in dressing. The fries were undercooked. While waiting on my order I witnessed the cook with the white double breasted cook coat wipe his face with his hand, then directly grab a styrofoam to go container. Another cook, who appeared to be in his twenties with a white bandana, sunburn was drinking a bottle of bear and placing the bottle on the food prep cutting board. All three kitchen personnel were wearing face masks as chin straps and not covering their faces. Found this confusing because there was a huge sign posted saying you needed a mask to be on the patio. I've NEVER had a poor experience until TODAY. Everything is ALWAYS right. What is going on with the lack of leadership and supervision of this once fine establishment? I am not going to stick around to find out.
