Balthazar's Ice Shack — Restaurant in Goshen

I've been coming here for the last almost 2 years and at one point once a week or more. That being said, I have never left there unsatisfied. Every meal I've had was delicious! The prices are great and probably the best in the area. The seating is very good, especially the seating near the brook. Balthazars has an incredible, almost enchanting small town appeal. The parking can be tight, but there is usually enough space. If you ever stop by, make sure to say hi to the owners they're very friendly! Thank you folks for the great food and the hospitality. I hope to make many more trips for some poutine in the future!

This place is an absolute gem nestled in the hills of Goshen. Karyn and Troy are super friendly, and the surroundings here are beautiful. Karyn is a top level chief and always has different amazing foods to try. My kid loves coming here for their yummy ice cream (his favorite is dinosaur crunch) and they always go out of their way to make him feel special. Also they are open year round, and located right on the snowmobile trail. Perfect place to stop to warm up and get some delicious warm food to keep you going out on the trails. I'm addicted to this little getaway. Between what I've eaten and those I've been with we have gone through most of the menu. These people care about their food. Then just when you get done eating you notice the large list of ice cream. As far as comfort you can't get better, wood stove for cool and winter days, umbrella over the tables and down by the true babbling brook are benches rocks and chairs.
