We stopped after a day in Mt Rainier National Park. This place was very busy compared to the other restaurant we passed so we gave it a try. Our experience was very mixed.

Atmosphere: Country inn all the way. Outdoor seating. Small inside (capacity was 49 as it said over in a hand written sign over the door). They had a little store inside the door selling a number of wines and relabeled sparkling wines. We sat at the counter as they were quite busy.

Food: Stick to the lunch menu. The entrees were overpriced for what you got. I had $17 Chicken Caprese Pasta which consisted of a decently cooked pounded chicken cutlet on noodles with generic pesto sauce. The pesto had sun dried tomatoes in it which saved the dish. The pasta came with a mini-loaf of fresh, but very plain, white bread and overly sweet blackberry butter. My girlfriend had the $25 flat iron steak. The steak was probably 6 oz and tasted good. The saute'd squash was fine, but cold. It came with a decent side-salad of mixed greens (no iceberg lettuce here) and a mini-loaf. I could have gotten a much better meal for the same price in Seattle. The lunch menu (available after 11am) was more reasonably priced so I suggest sticking with that.

I suggest just stopping by for desert. I had their signature blackberry pie. The filling was very good. Plenty of berries with no filler. Crust was soft and pale. I prefer a golden flaky crust. Plenty of ice cream. The cinnamon rolls looked amazing! May have to stop again just to try them.

Service: Not very good. We had to wait a lot for our waitress. She did check on us a couple of times, but the check took forever. We could watch them greet guests as they came in. There was no host. Which ever waiter or busboy happened to be near the door would take table requests, but didn't always write them down. This led to two groups being offered the same table or skipping ahead. There was a lady who seemed to be overseeing everything fluttering around telling the staff what to do. They would have been better off if she greeted and checked on guests instead of micromanaging the staff. We noticed several people come in, talk to the staff, maybe sit down, and get up and leave.

They even forgot to include my tip in my credit card charge. Or maybe they were just trying to apologize.

Summary: If you are hungry stop here, get something off the lunch menu and get pie or a cinnamon roll. You will pay for the convenience of food near the park's west entrance, but it will certainly be better than the park service food. Even better: leave through the north on WA-410 through Enumclaw. There are several excellent...

My wife and I were married at this venue and stayed in Dreamweaver a week ago!

I cannot say enough positive things about this venue overall, but I’ll enumerate the ones that mattered most.

  1. the cabin grounds as a whole are magically peaceful and have a grand feeling. I am from out of state, but layout of the ceremony area as well as the cabins is practically unmatched from options I’ve seen all over the country.

  2. the cabins themselves are all very well maintained, decorated, organized and stocked with all the essentials. If you are considering having an event here, Copper Creek’s cabins cover a lot of what you need.

  3. the staff. I’d say this should be the top overall, because without good staff running the show from cleaning, maintenance, to booking and management, many venues are simply transactional and cold. The warmth, care, attentiveness and urgency that the event coordinator ( as well as many others) showed leading up to, and during, our wedding was truly extraordinary! We could not have pulled off so many of our finite and grandiose details for our wedding and reception without them. They were flexible, understanding and gracious hosts. I wish I could have a wedding here once a month, because of the staff and venue.

  4. the area of the cabins is just a mile or two from the National Park entrance. So you can quickly get in and out of the park as we did several times during our stay. Our wedding guests were blown away by getting to drive to the Paradise visitor center and or the various trails in close proximity.

  5. the hots tubs! Almost every cabin has its own hot tub, otherwise has access close by. I always hear stories of hot tub issues from friends and families visiting cabins and the hot tubs not being taken care of well or hardly warm. All of our guests made use of the hot tubs and they all had great heat and jets, as well as cozy lighting! This was a feature of the cabins worth its weight in gold.

I think that covers my favorite parts.

I would like to mention that the venue & staff put a lot of care and respect in to their work. Being that their work involves a lot of nature involved on the cabin grounds, all guests should show just as much respect and care for the area as well.

We cannot wait to come back. And we will tell everyone we know to book a cabin here!

An immense and eternal thank you to...

I don't know if I have the words for how wonderful this place is, but I'll try!

When my best friend and I decided that we needed to get away from the city, I spent a whole night combing through listings to try to find the best place to stay. We needed somewhere remote, in a natural setting away from the city, and as pandemic-safe as possible. She had a dream about the mountains - so I took that as direction and picked out the Sky Cabin at Copper Creek.

It was perfect. Well-constructed and insulated, with many functional, screened windows. Space is used very efficiently so that the tiny structure feels spacious and luxurious. Shady and breezy under the tall trees, so even at the tail end of a heat wave we were comfortably cool without air conditioning and could enjoy the mountain air (although if you, like me, have tasty blood, I'd recommend bringing insect repellent. There were only moderate numbers of mosquitoes, and she didn't have any problems, but the little buggers like me a lot.) The large bed was very comfortable, with a loft above it for extra room.

The forest was beautiful, and the creek and the stars. We got the alone time we needed to get out of daily life stress and revitalize our minds and bodies, and came back feeling refreshed and happy.

With these smallest cabins the bathrooms are in a short shared hallway that opens onto the outside, but each bathroom is private to its rental so the risk is very low. The keypads allowed us to check ourselves in and out and the cabin itself was very easy to air out and sanitize (it was also cleaned before we got there but we're playing it very safe to protect our households.) The fridge and microwave made it easy to deal with our other medical needs as well.

All in all, this was an amazing level of comfort for being in the middle of the woods, and an amazing level of "being in the middle of the woods" to be this comfortable. I will return again and am recommending this place to my...
