Denny's — Restaurant in Graham

Let me start off by saying I’m in the service industry and I’m willing to forgive some flaws in service and/or food....but this place is unacceptably terrible. Every time. Today was the last straw.

My dad and I arrived around 9:30am to have breakfast. We waited about 5 minutes to be seated in a not even half full dining room. Our waitress (who didn’t even tell us her name) took our drink order and disappeared for 5-10 minutes only to return to double check the drink order. Cool, fine. She must have had something else going on. There were several un-bussed tables so I guess they had been busy earlier. Anyway, she finally returns with our drinks and we’re ready to order with our menus closed. Without asking if we were ready, she turns around and spends another 10 minutes bussing/wiping tables. There was another waitress just hanging out behind the counter so it’s not like there was no one else to take care of the cleaning. When she did get around to taking our order she looked at me as if I had two heads when I asked for the everything hashbrowns instead of plain, followed by “I’ll try.” I felt like it was gonna be a while for our food, so just to see, I set a timer. It took 32 minutes for our food to reach the table and by that point there were no more than 4 tables including us in the restaurant, no open menus. Most people were eating. When she dropped off the food she said she would be back to refill my empty tea and my dad’s nearly empty water. That didn’t happen. Both mine and my dad’s food was luke warm, IF that. My sausage in my omelet was burned, cheese completely unmelted and mostly just on the plate, not even in the omelet. My dad’s eggs looked shriveled and nasty. Hashbrowns were mushy and more onion in them than actual potato’s. I ordered 2 biscuits as my bread and only received one. She didn’t once come back to check on us or even bother to ask if everything looked good when she served it. We were beyond ready to leave so we walked up to the counter to pay. She tried to ask me if I wanted a tea to go, I let my dad pay and I walked out.

Just really really bad service. I don’t understand what the issue is. I could understand the waiting time if they had been in the middle of a rush, but they weren’t. I left feeling really disappointed and upset that what was suppose to be a nice meal and one on one time with my dad ended up being a frustrating and disappointing experience. It seems like nobody is trained properly, nobody cares about the customers or the food. I will...

Overall I like the Denny's chain however, Central NC franchise ownership has major problems! Thomasville hasn't had good 3rd shift staff in several years and I have stopped going there completely. Kernersville is hit and miss on 3rd shift depending on who is working. Lately they miss about 3 times more than they hit. My visits there are on hold for a while. The Mebane location inside the Flying J truckstop has had a reputation of not being up to par for several years now but I had heard that different managers had been sent in to correct problems. With this in mind a friend and I decided to give it a try on 5-17-19 at around 2 in the morning. The staff was fine, friendly and attentive. The reason for this review has nothing to do with them. After we were seated and our drink order was taken we were informed that as we decided what to order that we should be aware that they were out of some things that we might want(this is the reason). The employee then opened his order book and began to read off of a list. It was so long that I can't recall many of the items because I didn't expect it to be a long list and wasn't really listening carefully until about the 5th item, but here are a few standouts: broccoli, steak, any and ALL chicken products, and butter. My friend thought that he heard hamburger but I can't say for sure. Basically we could eat breakfast and that was it! Whoever the current person is that is responsible for ordering for this location is not doing their job! We considered going somewhere else but weren't in the mood to hunt for another option at that time in the morning and decided that breakfast was acceptable even though that was not what we really wanted. How can anyone think that a business will be successful and employees can make enough in tips with this type of issue at hand? It will be a long time before I give this location another visit. With the limited options of places to eat during the 3rd shift hours you would think that ownership and management would put forth an effort to be the best. That is not happening in...

Came in and waited 10 minutes, never even saw an employee so sat myself and waited Soda was flat and flavorless, was told no that's how it is supposed to be, and was offered a water Staff was more worried about sitting at the front counter and eating (and being very unprofessional and eating like an animal, no manners) 20 mins before my order was even taken Staff complaining about coworkers, customers and while walking around the restaurant While staffing was being attentive to the store, a customer got tired of waiting to pay and just straight up left without paying after waiting to pay for 10+ minutes at the register male waiter with the facial piercing and short hair is very rude and short with customers, no customer service skills, very unprofessional Finally got my food after 20 mins for a cold sandwich, was missing my bacon cheddar tots, was told.on we are out of them, but we just made more, and then none were brought Staff then sent a supposed manager over, was very aggressive and offered no solutions Cook staff must not know how to cut a sandwich in normal slices, I am.not 4 yrs old All the ketchup bottles were empty checked 6 different ones, and nothing No staff wearing a name tag and was not greeted with one, as I suspect so you can not complain Was ignored by waiter since the bacon tot interaction at #8 Check just tossed in front of me, never asked about dessert or anything else

In conclusion, I would recommend that you NEVER stop here until things change around here! Worst Denny's I have ever been to. And as a truck driver I have been to them in almost...
