Unforgettable Texas Experience - Wildcatter Steakhouse
Wildcatter Ranch & Steakhouse is the kind of place that stays with you long after the visit ends. I came here during a work trip and didn't stay at the resort itself, but I had the chance to enjoy dinner at the steakhouse--and honestly, it turned out to be one of the most memorable meals I've had in Texas.
What I Ordered: Sunset Salad - Fresh, crisp, and the perfect light start to the meal. Ribeye Steak - Cooked exactly how I like it: tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Baked Potato - Classic and satisfying, served piping hot with all the toppings.
But let's talk about that bread and butter--served warm, fluffy, and fresh out of the oven. It was so good that I had to ask for another round. They brought it out with a smile, and I would go back for the bread alone!
Beyond the Food:
Even though I didn't stay at the resort, just being on the ranch was an experience. I got to see Longhorns for the first time, and the ranch has horses, shooting activities, and events that give you a real taste of Texas culture. The setting is peaceful, scenic, and totally unique.
Service:
The staff was friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome from start to finish.
Whether you're staying at the resort or just passing through the area, Wildcatter Steakhouse is 100% worth a visit. Great food, Texas charm, and an atmosphere that truly feels like an escape....
Read moreI made my reservation about 2 weeks ago for Thanksgiving Dinner. My reservation was changed by the restaurant 3 times which was fine. The restaurant opened at 6:00, I had a 6:30 reservation. We each ordered the Thanksgiving plate. After 5 minutes, (still no drinks) the waiter told us they were out of stuffing and gravy but had green beans. Then a few minutes later he came out and said they found some gravy but couldn’t assure us there were enough mashed potatoes. So, we ordered off the menu. I ordered Baby back ribs and my wife got grilled chicken. We then got our drinks served. Chicken was dry and hard and while the ribs were tasty, they left them on the grill way too long. If there had been anyone checking QC at the line they would have never been served. Cream corn was room temperature, biscuits were delicious. I understand being understaffed. However, we ordered 30 minutes after you opened and you were out of key items for a thanksgiving dinner. 2 staff members were vocal about not wanting to be there at all. A long drive for a drive through window...
Read moreVery disappointed! I took my husband and my daughter to Wild Catter for their birthdays this past Sunday. Started with the poppers but 4 of the 6 were burnt. My husband ordered the bone in ribeye a $71.00 steak. When they brought it to the table it had so much fat hanging on it that you could not cut it ! Called the waitress over and her comment was “Yeah we got a bad batch of steaks, customer was complaining on Saturday too.” WHY WOULD YOU serve a poor quality steak in the first place it iwas terrible! My daughter’s steak was too rare even though she ordered medium. The drive way leading up to the restaurant had so many deep ruts it was almost impossible to drive on it. I’m sorry to see how far down hill this restaurant has gone, used to be delicious and amazing...
