Rock N Thai Cafe Grand Haven — Restaurant in Grand Haven Charter Township

UDATE: the owner says to come in and get my money anytime?! Apparently they did not read my review where I have tried to get my money OVER and OVER again! Just continuing the terrible customer service. Talk to your employee Svang Khoung who I had the displeasure of dealing with about our MANY interactions. Also, after all the inconvenience you've put me through, you can mail me my check.

Unfortunately I have to leave a negative review because the food is good however the management is terrible.

In October of 2024 I scheduled an order through their website to be picked up the following evening. That same night I received a confirmation text that my order was ready so I suspected something went wrong. The next day I called and the employee who answered said she had no access to the ordering system and didn't know how it worked and she would pass my information along to the manager. I stopped by anyway and dropped a print out of my receipt with my phone number and the employee said she would pass it on.

I never heard anything so I followed up and the employee said I had to call when the manager was there which was between 1 and 3 p.m. I tried three times with no luck before the manager finally called me back. He asked me to email him a copy of the receipt and he would get it taken care of. I did so and didn't hear back so I sent up a follow-up email, didn't hear back, sent a third email, and he finally responded and said I could come in anytime for a cash refund or a comped order.

It was about a month before I wanted to place an order so I called and spoke to the same employee who said that she had no authority to give me cash or comp an order. I asked if I could show her the email as proof she said it didn't matter she was not able to do so. She asked me to call or come back when the manager was there.

At that point I was so frustrated that the manager had zero trust in his employees to allow them to offer a simple refund so I sent him another email expressing my frustration and asking that he mailed me a check. He apologized and said that he would. A couple weeks went by with nothing so I sent him another email and asked if I was going to need to file a complaint with the better Business bureau. No response.

I did file a complaint and the BBB sent me an email on 2/10/25 stating that the complaint had been sent to the owner. I still have not heard back.

Extremely irresponsible and unprofessional behavior. Order food from here if you don't care about ever getting a refund if...

Been coming here since they opened . I always order a PHO combo and a regular PHO no meatballs . We went tonight and my boyfriend got his dish while I sat and waited at the table . Half way through my boyfriend finishing his meal I asked where mine was and the lady working the front who apologized up and down thought she over heard us saying we were going to “share” his PHO combo. And that was not the case at all.

But upon standing at the counter waiting for her to turn around I seen one of the cooks eating while prepping food while his bare hands. She offered to still make my food and I declined , I was given a container with rice and a mixture of what looked like left over scraps from the grill with limes and onions thrown into the container as an apology .

Unfortunately we won’t be coming back we’ve never had issues like...

We have some nice options but rather slim choices for food diversity along the lakeshore so I was excited to see Rock N Thai open a location in grand haven township ! While visiting Thailand over a decade ago I fell in love with yellow curry so it’s my first thing to order when I’m trying a new spot . This Yellow Curry with chicken did not disappoint- in fact was just perfect and … I will definitely be ordering it again. Our order included vegetarian fresh rolls. Really good and truly fresh with delicious sauces- perfect summer food . Also tried the pad Thai and it was tasty and classic and served with lime as it should be.
