This restaurant was fabulous! I would definitely recommend trying this place out! The food was delicious! I had the KC Strip which was 14 oz and tasted great! I think the steak butter really helped it become great tasting! I tried their whole fried potato which was basically a baked potato but they fried it instead. It tasted great as well! My husband had their grilled shrimp which came with brown rice and he ordered steak fries as his side. He really enjoyed his shrimp and the fries were crispy! They do bring out bread before the meal. It tasted like basic bread and butter to us. We weren’t impressed with either and didn’t eat much of it. After I received my steak it had steak butter on it and I tried the bread with the steak/herb butter and that tasted amazing together! I think they should serve the bread with that herb butter instead! Maybe ask if you can try the herb butter with the bread! There are not a lot of places for dinner in the area and we were pleasantly surprised with this place. It was a little pricier than we expected with entrees averaging $25-$45. It is inside a house so it did seem different when we pulled into the parking lot. They had nice black tablecloths and it seems a little nicer for the atmosphere to eat here but at the same time it seemed very comfortable and friendly to eat here. The initial person that helped us was an older gentleman and he was a sweetheart with jokes letting me know my husband ran out the back door when I came inside a couple minutes after my husband. Our server was fantastic and overall we had a great experience.

5/3/ 2025 The Artichoke is a beloved, cozy restaurant in a cottage near Grand Lake. It has changed owners, yet the food and atmosphere seem to have remained the same. I've eaten there 3 or 4 times and always enjoyed it. The cocktails and wine selections are nice also. I think I've always had a crab cake but this time got the special of the day, lobster thermidor. Beautiful presentation and tasty. It was especially good with the lemon squeezed over the top (needed the lemon!). Crispy Brussels on point, complimentary bread had roasted garlic and herbs and was so good dipped in the steak soup. The menu says it's the same recipe as Plaza III from Kansas City. The side salads are generous and fresh, with homemade salad dressings. My friends got the rib eye and enjoyed it. There's also a surprise and delight factor. When you sit down there's a complimentary plate with spinach artichoke dip and crustini. And a rose for the ladies . Reservations highly recommended especially during Lake season!

This place is amazing! From the moment we stepped in the door, through the last bite of dessert we were treated as friends and served some of the best food ever. I honestly will never forget the experience we had. We were looking at all the pictures inside when Jim (who is the owner) took the time to tell us about them. Every single thing we ate or drank was noticeably fresh and was carefully prepared. What they have at the Artichoke Restaurant and Bar is rare these days! If you are anywhere near Langley Oklahoma, you need to treat yourself to an amazing experience.

We were in town for a girls weekend at an area resort. We have heard great things about this place so after looking at the menu online we decided to give it a try. Their website stated that they have “COVID inspired seating”. When we arrived, none of the staff were wearing masks and we were less than a foot from two other tables. The wait staff seemed to judge us because we arrived and wore masks until we sat at our table. Prior to starting a woman came up to us and took a photo without asking. Then processed to ask all of our first AND last names then spelled them into her recording on her phone. Really strange and unnecessary. We ordered The Artichoke as an appetizer. It was undercooked. The stuffed shrimp were blank and tad a mound of paprika on each one. Overall did not live up to my expectations for a nice...
