This location is a great addition to Northeast Grand Rapids for authentic Mexican food. While you will find standard American-Mexican favorites, you will also find proteins and dishes rare locally. The staff was friendly and helpful about answering any questions you might have. They serve breakfast and dinner daily. They also have a lunch menu Tuesday to Friday. Closed Mondays. Complimentary chips, house made mild salsa, medium salsa and a hot verde salsa, all excellent. Generous portions for our Torta Cubana (with steak, ham, grilled hot dog, chorizo, breaded chicken fillet and egg torta with fixings and Campechanos Quesadilla (steak and chorizo). We look forward to coming back.

I hate to do this bc I take no pride in dogging a local restaurant but this place was so bad. I have no idea how it is rated so high. Chips were stale bland hard bad Salsa was watery meh Only hot sauce was choluah Alambre was swimming in oil with minimal flavor and charred steak for 19$ Now again I feel bad here bc the waiter kid was so nice and trying his best but he was all alone so the service sucked. Slow and overwhelmed. Again I can't believe this place is over 3 stars. Worst Mexican I've had in GR. Idk how they can mess it up so bad. Go to one of the other 5 Mexican places within 5 miles of here they are all better.

Texas border town girl craving authentic Mexican food and everything I had was amazing. From the salsas you get when you first sit down to the rice and beans you can add to the taco plate. I had quesobirria, barbacoa with cilantro and onions on flour tortilla and asada taco with cheese and crema. So flavorful and just the right portions for me.

The Good: I really appreciated the three choices of salsa—mild, medium, and hot. It's always nice to have options, and all three were flavorful. The tortilla chips were also a highlight: not too thick like some places make them, and they were perfectly salted.

The Not So Good: Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. Everything was fine during the meal, but once we finished eating, we were completely forgotten. Despite our server walking past our table multiple times, we had to flag her down after waiting far too long. The food itself was just okay. The rice and beans were especially bland and lacked seasoning. Also worth noting: they don't have an alcohol license yet, though they're apparently working on it.

Overall, I wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend it based on this experience. which is too bad because it is a family...

Beware...This place is not worth a visit..Cute place but food is cold and tastes terrible (like cardboard with days old sauce on it) The server did not know who ordered what even though there were two at our table and less than 20 people in the place. The Enchilada with pulled chicken were the worst ever. No taste to enchiladas, rice, or refried beans. Everything appeared to be slopped onto the plates. My partner had fajitas that came out on a sizzling plate. Then a few minutes later the tiny wraps came in tinfoil wrapper. Then the toppings came....then the rice and beans...then a plate to put the wrappers on to fill them after we asked twice of plate. The enchiladas had three pieces of shredded chicken in them and were cold. Beware...this place is not worthy of a...
