My husband and I found this hidden gem while we were out for a country drive. Although we stopped in just as they were closing, a very nice young lady took the time to go through the menu with us and was just so sweet and accommodating. The restaurant was clean and bright, very festive. We purchased 6 beef tamales and 6 chicken tamales to go. The tamales were still piping hot when we arrived home in Whitehall. The tamales were delicious! I was taken back to my childhood when my family would make tamales for the holidays! We are new fans of Rico’s Tamales and we can’t wait to return and try the tacos, too! I am absolutely in love with this place, now it's not all that pretty, but I don't come here for the ambiance. The young couple that own this place are some of the finest, upstanding, wonderful and pleasant humans I have ever had the opportunity to meet. That being said, the food is off the hook! You wanna get real? Then go to rico's! Their charm and personality combined with the authentic cuisine! Best Food After Electric Forest! We stopped by Rico’s Tamales right after Electric Forest and were blown away. The tamales and barbacoa tacos were so good we literally came back the next morning for more—they were that unforgettable.
