I like the hometown bar feel of this place but unfortunately it has really went down hill from when it first opened up. This is our second trip here with poor service and food. Maybe a "covid effect" with labor challenges but the food was NOT impressive like it used to be. I would not recommend the boneless chicken tenders (pic attached). Basically a pressed chicken nugget and $15 for 6 of them, something we would get at school lunches...
I hope this was just an isolated incident as they seem to get good reviews but mgmt needs to take a look at their quality of food and servers, IMO. After I pointed out that they forgot our cheese curd appetizer, they brought them out 15 minutes after our nuggets and they were actually pretty good and hot.
The cleanliness was also not up to par with our table having chunks of corn and other stuff from the people prior to us and the waitress just shrugged it off as I cleaned it off myself with a napkin. I assume there was no mgmt on site at the time as it was a bit chaotic and not...
Read moreIt may look like a hole in the wall from Highway 36 and the outside front, but once you get inside and/or go out to the patio, it's awesome!!! The food and service is fantastic. There isn't a bad thing on the menu. All food is freshly prepared. Bartenders, servers, managers and the owners are all very pleasant and friendly. There are times where the frontage road is jam packed with cars as is the lot, but there's plenty of space. As I said, looks can be deceiving. My husband and I don't live too far from Cozzie's which can be a good and bad thing. On night's where we don't feel like cooking, Cozzie's fits the bill! Chris & Jen Cosgrove continue to make improvements to the place which just adds to the whole experience! They also have outdoor activities like bags and a volleyball court in the summer with leagues too. Lots of TV's throughout the place even on the outdoor deck and at the super neat outdoor bar for the sports lovers! I could go on and on and on about this place, but instead I suggest you check it out...
Read moreVisiting the area and this was the most disappointing salad. Just look at the size of the untouched salmon- even asked the waitress if that was normal and she confirmed it was, not to mention maybe 2 whole strawberries all for $16 (pic of salad & receipt attached).
Service was spotty and after asking about our meal, wanted to order more drinks to go with the meals and couldn’t get our waitress’ attention for 20+ minutes so we decided to leave after we ate. Also, surrounding tables all had problems with their orders- saw a wedge salad go back, family next to us had late food/cold food and facing the door to the patio we saw lots of full plates of food going back and disgruntled looking employees. When it’s super busy, they get overwhelmed and it shows.
For comparison-If you’re looking for outside seating and friendly service-Had amazing salads nearby at Dock Cafe (scallop salad) & Mallards (Black & Blue) for almost the same price and loaded with...
