Diamond Mineral Springs — Restaurant in Grantfork

Me and my wife went on valentines day, very upset about my bill. Their board said surf and turf was $48. We had tea and soda. We each ordered the surf and turf. The salad was just that, the steak was flavorless, the lobster was tough and had to cut it with a knife. The mashed potatoes looked like they were on my plate for 3 hours before I arrived., the asparagus was the tough stuff you should throw away and had no taste except the bacon and whatever else was in it. Finally I got my bill. $125. That's when i found out that I paid $6 extra for each salad, $2 extra for each of the mashed potatoes and gravy and 2 more for the vegetable of the day. Anytime i visited in the past i got all my sides with the entree. I asked an employee about it and they told me i shouldn't have gotten the extra charges but they all looked confused. So I just paid it and left. This was one of my favorite restaurants and now will probably never walk in...

We have been to restaurant before and experience was good. Not so much this time. Went on Thanksgiving. While waiting to be seated noticed that people were standing inches from deserts on bar, yuck 🤮! The employees serving up pie were handling with their bare hands…no gloves! I watched one employee handled money in the cash register then go back to packaging cake and did not wash hands! Right then I would have left if I thought there would be another place we could get seated.

We were seated early, service was very good, food not so much. We had two turkey dinners with tea….NO DESSERT….which consisted of turkey that had bones in it, dressing (very gloopy and wet), green beans (good), mash potatoes with gravy (good), slaw (tasted like pickle juice…not good), and biscuits which were the best item served. This meal with tip cost us $80.00! Next year we will go to Dennys or Cracker Barrel. Food just as good but...

First time at this place.. it was a Sunday night and I misread the hours online... thinking they closed at 9pm we arrived around 730pm only to find they closed at 8pm! We figured we would go inside and apologize for our lateness and see if we could still get some food even if it was takeout... now I know some places would have turned us away or if they didn't.. we would've been treated poorly for coming in like we did.. well you know what? the staff genuinely welcomed us.. were so pleasant, kindly serving us and even chatting and making small talk! The food was hot and fresh and as amazing as i am sure it would be anytime! It was a wonderful experience, and the owners/management as well as the staff should be really proud of the welcoming environment they are creating there... even for 2 latecomers on a Sunday evening!
